Agree or disagree? While Golovkin employs a more break you down methodically approach. Featherweight and superbantamweight Pac basically steamrolled you from the first round until you submit or couldn't beat the count.

The only guy to remotely take his power was Marquez. Who's an ATG and was dropped 3 times.

Definitely agree. Pacquiao and Golovkin had similar punching power, although it manifested in two different ways. Both accumulation, but Pacquiao was 'accumulation causing impact', Golovkin was accumulation via thudding'.
It's the reason why Pacquiao was able to rise through the weight classes successfully. People who's opinion on boxing I don't rate, just dismiss it as PED's. PED's or not, Pac's power was Golovkin-esque, and it's a shame that we didn't get to see a Golovkin-esque (at 160) power by Pac against Mayweather from PBF days.

I don't think Pac ever had real power, not 1 punch concussive power. Pac's power was from his speed and his commitment to punching thru his target and not just to make contact like most boxers. Velocity = power and Pac always had ludicrous terminal velocity in his hands.

Take a look at a four fight span Pac had at 122-126.

Lucero he 1 punch finished him. Barrera he dropped him with 1 punch. And got the stoppage via accumulation. Marquez he 1 punch dropped him 3 times in a single round. 3K batter he 1 punch finished him.

Maybe Pac didn't 1 punch finish ATG's. If he stuck to the typical every day top 10 contender list at 122 and 126 he would have shown real power as you define it

Its a different type of power. Pacquiao see to have more explosive shock type power. Golvokin seems go have more heavy power where it's a long lasting effect and you can't recover from it.

Very few fighters have explosive power and thudding power at the same time. Its usually one or the other. Julian Jackson comes to mind as somebody with both. Take a look at Barreras and Marquez's face when Pac dropped at 126. It was look of more "WTF was that" rather than a "My god that was a hard shot". You see a guy like Golovkin drop somebody or land hard and it's like he took a syringe and sucked out their life.
