Even when Pac's fighting at 147, Pac likes to come in around 143 to 145, i think Pac around 150 is going to lose handspeed and natural movement.

I also feel Margarito at 151 will have a greater size and natural weight advantage which will take its toll.

The key for me in this fight will be 'Can Pac retain handspeed at around 150 that's around 5 pounds to his highest fighting weight yet'?.

This fight is more than what meets the eye, Pac is human and i dont think he should fight above 145, i still think Pac's best weight would be 140 for his size, at 140 his speed is crazy, that Hatton fight was the real Pacman in full flow.

The 151 limit isn't for Pac, trust me.

If Pac comes in at 148 and Margarito comes in at 151 this will be giving away too much, i think Pac will come in at 149.

i think he already lost some handspeed @ 147lbs. but even so, the disparity of speed between the two will still be there and pac will TKO him around rounds 9 to 11.

    btw Luke, nice sig.

Giving Margarito a natural weight of 151 could be a wrong move, they should of kept him at 147.

I'am a big fan of both of them but i really do believe that Pac is going to ship some serious punishment here, it's going to be an absolute wild tear up, forget the margo/mosley fight as margo was weight wrecked taking that fight at such short notice for his best pay day ever. He's no way a shot fighter & if Cotto can get hunted down then pac's going to have his hands full, Margo will not take a step back & what ever hit's Pac will hurt. Pac wanted this fight 2 years ago, just shows you what a brave & you may think somewhat reckless fighter he is. He'll duck no one, this is going to be a 100%+ brutal slugfest thats going to have us all on the edge of our seats & one thing for certain is this. If Pac comes out victorious then he'll have age'd dramaticlly in boxing terms & Mayweather will then call him out.

His peak handspeed for me was at 140lbs...he found the "perfect" mix between speed and power. He looked slightly slower in the Cotto bout, and similarly "slow" in the Clottey bout.

The training videos from this camp that have been released havn't really blown me away either. Obviously his speed, sharpness, etc will pick as he gets closer to the bout...but yeah, I don't think he will retain the same speed as he had at 140lbs and below.

Pacquiao's speed isn't really a concern though...he's in with a very slow boxer in Margarito. Pacquiao will probably look faster than ever in with him.

I get this mad feeling that Margarito at 151 will hurt Pac bad, and might KO him before Pac breaks him down which takes time.

The only way this happens is if Margarito can trap Pacquiao on the ropes, and give him a similar beating he dished out to Cotto over a period of 5-6 rounds. Margarito in my opinion doesn't have the one punch power to hurt Pacquiao...147lbs or 151lbs.

You realize Margo will have NO plaster in this fight right? Pacquiao lose speed? He'll be same speed as the fights at 147 which is a light years faster than Cheato.

it depends on what size gloves they use for this fight ,10 or 8.

There suppose to be using 10 but knowing Arum and Roach I bet its 8oz reyes.

I just think its a size and weight mismatch, i still favor Pac, but this is not a simple fight like a lot of people think.
