Wasn't Mayweather lineal when he retired?

And how exactly is another lineal champ named when the champ moves up in weight or retires?

I think mayweather didnt want to fight pac for some reason. Any boxer will tell you the same. Who is MAYWEATHER to tell pac he has to take a specific bloodtest. Let the commission do their job and you do your job which is fight. Besides, pac agreed to the tests aslong as the fight wasnt in las vegas and mayweather wouldnt do it. Hmmmm, maybe that has something to do with xylocaine being illegal everywhere else. I dont see how anyone can say pac dropped the ball. If there is anyone to blame for pac/may not happening, its mayweathers fault.

One more thing, what would lead anyone to believe pac is on some performance enhancing drugs? Pacs upperbody isnt that much bigger than when he fought in the 120's. Its all lower body weight. If you gonna question pac then i think we should question duran aswell. He had huge legs. Everyone who has inside info knows mayweathers hands have been bad for along time. I heard hes been getting cortisone shots since he was a teenager. Out of the two rumors, pac using ped's or mayweather using xylocaine.........id have to say mayweather using xylocain makes more sense.

Just for the record my fav fighters to date in no particular order are mayweather, mosley, hopkins, wright, pac, donaire, alexander, and ward. I dont wanna hear any of that pac nutthugger ****. I like mayweathers style alot better than pacs. However i do think hes an ass.

I agree. There's always a chance that FMJ and MP will go back to the negotiating table and agree to fight each other. A slight chance but still. Stranger things has happened in boxing, as we're all aware of.

  5. Pretty sure Pacquiao can still make 25-30 million if he fights Shane. So he loses 10 million dollars that he certainly doesn't need.

30 million USD is like a billion in the Philippines.

Mayweather doesnt want the fight. Hes gonna insist on all these blood tests and that the fight be in vegas. Pac isnt gonna hae any fighter tell him what to do. Now if the commission states that both fighters have to do olympic style testing then the fight may happen.

The author of the original post is right. If Shane beats Floyd (which might happen), there is going to be a rematch, and who knows, possibly a 3d fight if they split. Pacman may never get his shot. And that means 40 mil lost. Now why would one risk that much money over a test?

  9. Because Manny Pacquiao fights everybody other than Floyd Mayweather for free, right?

Your math: "I wanted to get an $80,000 car, but instead I got a $60,000 car. I saved $80,000!"

    Yes.

Depends on who you talk to. Some say unification. However, I don't buy into that because the belts are meaningless now.

I agree, that is why i don't put as much weight into lineal titles as much as some do.

This. The cost of living is so much lower in the PI that Manny can really say screw you all and retire. Of course, the PI would melt deeper into internal strife since him fighting twice a year guarantees at least 2 ceasefires between the government and the communist/muslim rebels in the south. People constantly wonder why he would walk away from 40 mil but they forget he doesn't live in the US so the amount of money he's made is enough to fund his family for generations.

i like pac but you could end up being right with this. when you step back and look at the situation it's hard to figure out but I can also understand pac not putting up with pbf's bs as well.

Or Mayweather blew his chance to cement his legacy and 40 million dollar.

It seems like it is only Pac who lost money here.

If Shane wins, then Pac vs. Shane is a more entertaining fight to begin with as they always go for a knockout instead of outpointing the opponent.

cash is a non important factor to Pac these days. He's made more money than YOU ever will you brooklyn bum. Now keep cheering for those losers Zab Judah and Mag ***.

Pac smokes Mosley and then finishes off Mayweather. Beating undefeated fighters is no different than beating fighters with 1 loss on their resume.
