DLH too went through Bob the "Jew" and had choice words for that guy. Why do like leaving out details on that story? That was the court's decision to have both promoting agencies take a percentage of Pac's earnings. Tell everyone here how your hero Oscar De La hoya tried to trick a naive Pac into signing with him with a suitcase full of cash. Top Rank and Golden Boy both weny into a lawsuit and was determined that Top Rank was the rightful promoter of Pac but Golden Boy was awarded with minority owner royalties.

25%-40% is actually pretty standard.

Nothing different. If you do it PBF style, under your own promotion company, then you end up keeping more money but you are also liable for the cost of the production of the fight (promotions, production, staffing, etc). Depending on how successful the promotion is you either come out more or come out less (since boxers purse are guaranteed and promoters are not).

Manny can offset the cost by claiming that portion as tax deductible (as he would for all cost related to his profession including Roach & Koncz salary, business trips, even his car, equipment, etc).

I am not sure why people think this is surprising. Not like GBP is offering anything better (if I remember correctly, I think GBP was actually asking 40% and one of the reasons why Manny went with Top Rank instead).

 

According to them, Pac doesn't even know what Olympic Style Drug testing is.
