A lot of people predicted that when De la Hoya lands his left hook, Pacman will be knockdown. But look at what happened:

Hoyas left hooks didn't have an effect Pacquiao!

In your opinion, will Pacquiao withstand Hatton's power punches once again?

Dude, those left hooks were weak, they were mostly glancing and thrown without too much conviction. I don't think that fight is any indication of how well Pac's chin will hold up at these higher weights. I think both Hatton and Pacquiao will be vulnerable to each others power, and it will come down to who can land cleaner and more often and who can avoid the others punches more effectively.

I'm not sure if Manny could take Ricky's punches, but with his footwork I don't think he will need too. I just see Manny landing before Ricky and actually fustrating Ricky Hatton because he won't get into rhythm. I honestly don't think Ricky can take Manny Pacquiao's punches. That should be the post.

I don't know, but that Floyd Mayweather KO over Ricky Hatton was so embarrasing. Ricky looked like a bobble head. It was so brutal, especially because Floyd has some pop but not the knock out power like that. That will always be cementented in my mind when I see Ricky Hatton. To me that could of been a Knockout of the year canidate of 2007.

I agree. It isn't Pacquaio's chin under question here.

Hoya held Pacquiao's head and left hooked him 4 times! If you look at video again, Hoya threw a HARD body punch before the left hook combos.

If that's not conviction, I don't know what is.

    Please.

Those left hooks were nothing compared to what Oscar is capable of throwing.

We'll never know we'll we? The only thing we can judge is what transpired.

And what happened is Manny Pacquiao was able to withstand De la Hoya's left hooks when most predicted that he couldn't. The video is a proof, a visible truth, that is hard to deny.

My observation, Paulie went 12 hard rounds vs Cotto and Ricky just had an easy time putting him in ***** street few times until Barry could not watch it any more, my conclusion lot's of people are underestimating Ricky's power.

I think Manny can take Hatton's punches but the volume of shots landed could get to him.

This may very well be a much tougher affair for the Pacman than Oscar was at that point in his career. Ricky Hatton has enough energy to rush in very quickly, land a hard shot and hug, for all 12 rounds. He doesn't fight pretty like Oscar used to. Hatton's gonna try to rough Manny up. Hugs, elbows ,butts. Whatever it takes to make Pac uncomfortable and force a nasty inside, foul-filled, slugging match... I'll be rootin' for Pac and I think he'll win, but it'll probably go to the cards unless Pac can't take Hatton's punches and gets knocked out.
