Sugar Ray Leonard vs Donny Lalonde

For the SMW and LHW championship.

Leonard came in at 165 Lalonde at 167

People are so quick to forget that Bob Arum eliminated any chance of Manny fighting anyone outside of Top Rank for this fight. Zero chance. That was Bob's decision to narrow Manny's choice of opponents. Manny doesn't care who he fights, so Bob will match him with whoever he wants to.

well in margartitos case he has nowhere to go he has to coply whit whatever manny requires to make the fight happen but i think if the fight is at a catch weight should be no title at stake

Can anyone explain to me why Pac is at fault because he can't get Floyd at 147 and he wants a tough fight?

To the detractors - Honestly - 5 years ago had you said Manny Pac fighting Margaritto at 150 - Would you have said he's a cheat of some sort or suicidal?

He fought De La Hoya at a catch weight having gone from 130-135 and his detractors on here said "ROACH IS CRAZY! HE"LL BE KILLED! DLH BY MURDER!"

He fought Hatton at 140. No deal there.

He fought Cotto two pounds lighter than the limit.

He fought Clottey who weighed in at 147 and Pac 145 1/2.

So now there's a POSSIBLE catchweight fight at 150 and Pac has "made a career of fighting at catchweights"

    Grow the **** up.

This wouldn't be happeneing if Holidayweather had a pen and some balls.

Sure Manny doesn't care which is great but he's at fault because he's letting Arum make him choose from two **** opponents.

That's RIGHT! That's the only time in boxing history that happened bro.. And MOST didn't considered the LHW a legit belt in that weight class. When they speak of Ray they say he's a SMW champ not LHW.

At the time the Super MW divsion was newly formed!:good

What? You have to be kidding. So what is it?

Manny is a MORON in political office?

    --OR--

Manny is a smart man manipulating the boxing public?

It is either or. You can't have both. He is either a party to this nonsense or not. :deal

He's letting Arum make shitty ****ing fights. Are you really amped to see the Margartio fight after Margarito fought Garcia?

Most of the people complaining are butt hurt that their boyfriend is scared to fight pac and no matter how much they try to spin it off, FLoyd ends up looking like a *****.

I'm just saying.....You don't have to tell me that there are some nutty PAC fans out there that see PAC as the god of boxing... He can do no wrong, but MOST would accept anything and everythign PAC does if it didn't make sense. Most popular boxing pros have unrealistic fans, but I like to think that they are NOT the majority.
