    Seems to me very much to be an oppurtunistic fight at its worst.... against a guy whos career has been succesful at 147, coming off a brutal loss, suspension, and everything else we all know, the fact that the damn fight has to take place in MEXICO says it all.....

    hmmmm.... lets see some of the top guys who would actually deserve to win the Pac man sweeptstakes

    Martinez?
    Williams?
    Bradley?


    Nope, its Margarito...... at 150.... :patsch


    I would have no problem with this fight if it was actually at 147, or 154, and Margarito had recently beaten a fellow top ranked contender and looked returned to form, but his last big win was the COTTO fight, and that was TWO YEARS ago almost to the day. Hell, the 150 mark doesnt even bother me really, its that Margarito has done WHAT exactly in the last TWO YEARS to get the second biggest oppurtunity in boxing at the moment? (the first is arguably getting to fight mayweather)

    and if you find yourself finding reasons pac shouldnt fight guys like Bradley, while excusing this fight, you might want to double check that your not part of the problem when it comes to these matters. I know it will never happen but boxing needs to get a grip of itself, because all this **** is getting out of hand, its kinda sad how fustrated im getting with boxing.

    seriously, if im wrong ill man up but i just cant see this fight any other way... there is no 'silver lining' to this fight that i see. :-(

    wtf does that have anything to do with Manny's political work? He doesn't care who his promoter tells him to fight. That means if given two choices only, he won't care. He'll train, show up, fight, and collect his paycheck and go home.

    Granted, Manny didn't finish all of his schooling and he's probably approaching his office with more Passion than intelligence but it is what it is. How he takes his bouts has ZERO to do with his other job and I don't see what you brought it up.

    Wow. That it has to do with a willful manipulation of boxing history. The sport that provided him the life he enjoys. Now I ain't about all that honor crap because your kids don't eat honor, but this is literally crapping on boxing. So it is related because either:

    This man is willing to KNOWINGLY do ANYTHING to get a little fame and power?

    -- or --

    He is so blind to the ramifications of his actions that he is willing to light a match while sitting in a pool of gasoline just to see.

    My point is this. He is party to this crap. Always was. Always has been. All this dumping on Arum is unfounded. He told Arum what he had to work with and Arum is shoveling Manny's ish. Not the other way around.

    Manny may not be book smart, but he is emotionally intelligent. The man is a master manipulator.

    Pacquiao's 8 different weight divisions:

    1. 150
    2. 145
    3. 140
    4. 135
    5. 130
    6. 126
    7. 122

    I don't see any abnormality here.:D At welter, Pacquiao fought 2 boxers at the full limit, Clottey and Hoya.

    Don't worry after Margarito, I'm guessing PAC will fight at the Jr. Middleweight limit next.:lol:

    Clottey - Hired his main sparring partner, Arum didn't assist his trainer getting a visa,
    ODLH - Hadn't been at the weight in years

    Pac is manipulating boxing history.

    Hoya and Clottey has every right to pull out from those fight if they feel they have no chance defeating PAC but they didn't, why?:lol:

    i dont see why you see manny as a fraud when he is fighting bigger opponent than he naturally should be fighting. if you think he is, what do you call a guy fighting smaller guys pulling them up to his own weight?
