There's about 6 fighters superior to him in my lifetime that automatically come to mind.

Great fighter. I was elated to see him exterminate the Hatton-ites from ESB. I'm hoping like hell he does the same thing to the Cotto-queens.

But he has a lot more to prove before we can say he is one of the best to ever lace a pair of gloves. Maybe if he fought Shane or May first? There's a reason he chose Cotto instead of Shane. And it has nothing to do with fighting the toughest fights.

    I'm with you on that...

I got Hearns, Leonard, Hagler, JCC, Sweet Pea, and Duran right off the top of my head.

Maybe if some of his fans woul just let him prove his greatness, instead of going ape**** crazy every time someone says anything less than "He's God" then maybe a lot more people would be willing to take notice.

What the hell are you talking about? How is he avoiding Mayweather? That would have been his next fight, now it will be after the Cotto fight.

Nah, he hasn't exterminated us. Just like Hearns didn't exterminate Duran fans (ok,ok, I know that's ridiculous...). But it did prove how great Pac is. I think Hatton's been on the slide for a while, and he wasn't as good as I thought, but don't belittle the win and esp its manner: that was a career defining performance.

Hatton didn't beat Tszyu, a great fighter, through luck, age, or bias - perhaps circumstance, but that's a little different. Manny destroyed an elite - not great, maybe not HoF - fughter with extraordinary ease. Hatton's better than that. But Pac is something else.

Btw, i'm one of those who wonders whether a younger Naz coulda beaten MAB.

there's no doubt on the Pac (and PBF) result. Pac, PBF, B-Hop, Lewis, RJJ. They are the great fighters of the past 15 years, and with the exception of Holyfield, no-one else comes close.

IMO the title should be to JMM, but I can accept Pac.

WTF why would anyone want to see Pac fight Joan Guzman and Nate Campbell over Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto?

    I mean seriously.

Pacquiao is a hell of a fighter. He is exciting, but what impresses me the most is the evolution he has undergone from a crude straight forward fighter, to a guy with a pretty good arsenal of skills. But he's not as small as people try to make him out to be. Pacquiao like many other fighters is actually heavier than what he fights and often cuts alot of water weight to mkake the lower weight. Lat year when he moved up to 135 he mentioned that he felt stronger and thought that he would be more comfortable at 140 since he siad he walsk around at 150. That means that he is bigger than someone like Floyd Mayweather who weighs in at 147, is weighs virtually the same on the night of the fight.
