What exactly do you mean when you say a "well worn" Cotto? He lost once to a cheater and inched a decision against Clottey. Last time i checked, Cotto was still a young "Warrior". He was 100% against Pacman, even Cotto fans will admit it. Hell, I still hear people say Hatton wasn't 100% when he fought Pacman, because of Mayweather. BS! People got to give credit when it's due. It's much easier to talk boxing than actually doing it. I want Pacman to fight Mayweather, but he honestly doesn't need Mayweather. It's sad to say but more "Americans" like Pacquiao better as a fighter, Person, and Champion. BTW I don't think Pacman is invinceable. I think Mosley or Mayweather may have what it takes to beat him.

A Floydette trying to discredit Pacquiao?

    This is new...:tired

Actually it's the other way around my friend, Pacquiao has more choices then Mayweather.

He is still the champ at 140 where he can fight: Khan, Bradley, Valero, the winner of Urango/Alexander and a rematch with JMM.

All Mayweather has is Berto and Williams, and we all know that he won't fight Williams (plus he's getting ready to fight Pavlik at 160) so that just leaves Berto.

Who else is out there for Floyd?

you have to be a complete idiot, if not a true boxing fan if you think they dont need each other. Manny doesnt have the best resume of the last 20 years....you ever heard of Roy Jones, Julio Cesar Chavez, or Pernell Whitaker...there are several fighters who have better resumes or comprable ones, even Mayweather has beaten more world champions than Manny Pacquiao.

Im am a boxing fan first and we need this fight to decide who is the best of this generation, its just speculation. Its a fact that the only reason Manny got best p4p because Mayweather retired.

if you were beaten to a pulp with loaded gloves do you think you'd be the same??? Yes he is a warrior and still a good fighter but he wasnt the same guy that beat Mosley or Judah. They need each other man, we need this fight as fans of the sport. I couldnt care less who wins because either way the best of this generation will be decided.

He kayoed beat a hapless Diaz, weight drained washed up Oscar, a plaster of paris beaten Cotto, the Hatton win was impressive but Hatton was tailor made for him, Im sorry Im not on his nuts like you guys and have my own opinion.

I disagree, I can only see Manny having a couple more bouts, Clottey and then winner of Mayweather/Mosley. Also, none of the boxers you mentioned are classed as mega bouts which Manny is no doubt looking for before retirement. They will not enhance his legacy, the same way Berto will not enhance Mayweather's legacy. Williams is now a light middle/middleweight, and no-one wanted any of him when he was 147lbs, so I doubt he would come back down now.

Valero would be the most likely of all the bouts you mentioned, only becuase it would be explosive, but I can't see it happening.

As much as I want the PBF vs PAC fight to happen, I don't think it will. There was too much drama when the fight was first negotiated. Unless that was just a publicity stunt so both Pac and Pbf will have enough time to sharpen their skills, this fight is not happening.

I wouldn't say a win over Mayweather won't improve it, of course it will improve it but does Pac badly need it?, the answer is no and it IS the other way around. Pacman can retire right now and you won't see any outrage for that decision, when a man reaches a point where even his own haters can't help but admit that he defies logic then he's done with and can retire whenever he wants to. Even his haters who pick up the "roid" nonsense accusations are desperate enough to pick that up because they have nothing else to pick up and further approve that even they are shocked by what he's doing so they hide behind a "roid" accusation coming from none other than possible opponents, jealous boxers or threatened boxers altogether. Why would they believe such an accusation which has no proof at all?, because they are also shocked by what Pacman is showing them and can't believe it so that's more proof that the man is fully accomplished and whatever fight he takes he does so for the love of the sport at this stage and obviously doesn't need it financially nor mentally.

Now let's take a look at Mayweather, can he retire right now without fans complaining?, no he can't and he knows it. His return, whether people want to believe is money or whatever, is an emergency check and a need to remind people who he is and what he's capable of doing because honestly Pac erased that complete in two years and has captured his spot and pushed Mayweather seriously back. A future fight will happen eventually and we'll see who wins but let's not forget that YET AGAIN Pacman is the one who's trying hard to make that fight, Mayweather sadly believed false accusations coming from his hating father who's obviously too damaged by how Roach completely overshadowed him and with ease. Sr. doesn't want this fight not because Pac is on steroids, he doesn't want this fight because if his son loses this one they will be damaged real bad, especially him and there isn't anyone he can stand behind to avenge that and living with it will obviously be way too hard. I just hope these guys fight and may the best man win, I'm glad to know both parties CAN negotiate and continue to hint that a fight is possible if both are successful next.

Dude, Pac is fighter of the decade (according to Ring) and is current p4p numero uno. Macyweather needs him more. Besides, I wouldn't necessarily rate Pac as the underdog. Infact, I think he's got the style to KO Mayweather i.e. fast, powerful and tireless. There is no way Mayweather can block every single punch.

You made this poll (perhaps to try and discredit Pac) but, the ESB fans are unanimous on this one.
