Dude, you as well as many other need to take your head out of Pacs *******.

His resume is GREAT, don't get me wrong. I'm a Pac fan, I happen to be on Mayweathers side in this whole debacle, but before this soap opera I was definitely a fan of Manny, how can you not be???

But there are a some things that are getting exaggerated, overlooked and forgotten:

    2003
Manny Pacquaio burst onto the scene in '03 by taking MAB by storm and beating him into corner stoppage. This is one of his greatest performances. Great win for him. If you remember after this he was thought to go on to destroy all of Mexico's greatest warriors.
    2004
He has a blockbuster 1st round against a shell shocked JMM. But then goes on to get badly outboxed for the remainder of the fight, in a performance resulting in a controversial draw. But the "Draw" in this case brought Pacs stock down a bit, in that many felt he was a bit "exposed" in this fight. JMM however was showcased.
    2005:
Manny loses to Morales. The man that was gonna destroy all the mexican greats is now 1-1-1 against them.
    2006:
Manny puts on his 2nd amazing performance in overcoming Morales and winning the rematch. Great Great win for him! Also being the first to stop a man that had been looked at as one of the toughest P4P fighters in the sport.
Manny again beats Morales, this win however isn't as noteworthy for the mere fact that it is CLEAR at this point that Morales is just a faded fighter and not what he used to be. Great performance, just not a great win.
    2007:
He beats MAB in a rather ordinary performance. This is not even close to the MAB he beat in the first fight. MAB was coming off a loss to JMM, and arguably lost to Juarez in their first fight also. Regardless of how you scored those fights, it was surprising that the prime Pacman didn't almost beat the aged Barrera 1/2 to death. Many after this fight felt that Pacman had seen his best days.
    2008:
Pacman rematches JMM and wins a very controversial/close SD.

For 5 years Pac recycled the same 3 great fighters. He faired very well against them:
    MAB 1-1 (1 Stoppage)
    EM 2-1 (2 Stoppages)
    JMM 1-0-1 (No Stoppages)

Then he moves up and fights:
David Diaz - This was the easiest route to a belt
ODH - He made Oscar come to 147, I cannot blame Pac for this due to his size. But it cannot be ignored that an Old Oscar cutting down to 147, is nowhere near as dangerous as the 154lb guy that Floyd fought a year and 1/2 earlier.
Hatton - he was the best at 140 and this is a great win, but it isn't any better or worse then Floyds win over Hatton
Cotto - Amazing performance and truly a great win.

Manny's legacy is cast in stone.

Don't forget who the fighter of the decade was.

why does everyone have to trash pacquiao when they are not blowing him. Like you said by Ring Magazine thats their opinion, I have mine and I want them to fight. Sure he has the style to beat Mayweather, as does Mayweather who is a better boxer, counterpuncher , and overall fighter than his closest rival in Marquez. Manny is my second Fav fighter but excuse me for not having a heart attack about everything he does.

he has a great resume but one of these numbskulls had the nerve to say he has the best resume of the last 20 years.....I bet Julo Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, and Roy Jones wouldnt agree with that.

It just bothers me that people overrate him and force people to argue negatively about him because he is a GREAT fighter with a great resume. But it cannot be denied that for 5 years he made his career off 3 names. MAB, who was far past it in the rematch, EM who was arguably past his prime in all 3 fights, and JMM who he arguably lost to twice.

*****s or whatever can hate all the want, I've been a fan of both loyally supporting both longer than these *****s all combined whoever they are. For a fan like me the situation isn't enjoyable, I'm a huge fan of Pacquiao, Mosley and Mayweather and with all fighting each other(they will) it would be amazing for boxing and fans in general including me but deep inside I know I won't be enjoying any of it. There's no other side for me to hate on or hope to see lose which eliminates any serious contribution from me in current/future fun discussions/arguments regarding those three fighters. Just hope to see some good fights with fair results.

As if this thread needed another response but I'll go ahead and chime in anyways:

Mayweather needs Pacquiao, anyone who truly believes otherwise is pretty damn foolish.

Instead of quoting that pornographic addicted brainless garbage can you might want to be realistic. Pacquiao doesn't stop mentioning Mayweather either and according to Roach Pacquiao constantly talks about how he will do certain moves IN TRAINING if Mayweather was his opponent which also shows that the obsession is clear on both sides.

:dealexactly so just because I dont think he is the best thing since sliced bread even though he is a great fighter, I am a hater and Floydette what ever these dudes call it. He is a great fighter but he has the same problem Marciano had....his best wins are over past prime greats and those are facts. MAB and EM all had long careers and many wars and Marquez was the fresher out of the 3 because of his style and temperment.

Just read your posts. You're clearly trying to trash Pac's accomplishments. You try to dispute anyone who thinks Floyd needs Pac more and given the poll results, which is just about everyone. You made the poll. It's not showing you want you want to see so, just accept it.

Oh my god :patsch It's one thing to be a fan, but it's another thing to be a complete nuthugger who cannot admit anything close to negative about the man.
