Attack Floyd hard in the first two rounds, that's when he's unsure of himself and hasn't worked out his opponent, good chance for a knock-down or two. After that, cut off the ring and keep the pressure on, keep him on the ropes and keep working. Occasionally let him off the rope to let him get brave then beat him back to the ropes again. Don't let him breathe.
I would suggest keeping Pacquiao in his cage for a while, before I would release him. Then once I let him out of his cage, it's over. They key, is caging your fighter for a bit. Gets them really angry before you unleash the fury from out of the cage.
I'm just going with that solid advice from Tim Lane. You have to keep him caged up for a bit, then you release your guy from his cage. Once Floyd will see Pacquiao is out of his cage, Mayweather will just fall over in fear. The caged animal is loose!
didn't wifebeater turn the ginger into a skeleton? the convict nuthuggers have no room to be talking about draining or catchweights
Blueprint how to beat Floyd is obvious at this point.. He's slowed down considerably. Blueprint is smart aggression + pressure and to simply outwork him. Pac is still faster, much higher workrate, hits harder etc. He has the skill set needed to cause Floyd serious problems, and maybe even beat him... We'll see. Floyd is far from unbeatable at this stage. The Blueprint isn't hard to figure out, executing it will be the real challenge... But I think Pac was it takes.
i would say 'Manny just do what youve been doing all along and that should be enough to take away that frauds 0'
time floyds straight rights and body jabs w counters. might be next to impossible because floyd keeps his head back and has freakish reach. try to avoid traps, floyd likes to fight going backwards, side to side and time his opponents w counters. attack in and out and when he moves side to side swing wild hooks. avoid the clinch. cut him if u can, floyd goes into panic attack mode if you cut him.
GENERAL STUFF -Be in top physical condition or nothing will work. -100 punches a round -When you get hit, hit him 3 times -Control the center of the ring -Keep him on the ropes as much as possible -No breaks -If you hurt him, throw the kitchen sink at him until he goes down for that extra point. TECHNICAL STUFF -When he grabs you, NEVER accept the clinch. Bang away at him, push him off, whatever. -Counter his jab with that rear hand slip-and-shoot. -Try to draw the pull counter by shooting the straight left from too far out and returning it low. Counter it with a hard right hook. -If he shoulder rolls, double up the left hand (body uppercut-head hook) and finish by swinging that right jab/hook over his shoulder as you pivot off. -If he lays on the ropes, batter him with flurries but make sure to double up with each hand instead of just going right-left-right-left. -Change the angle in mid-combination. Don't let him set his feet and counter, make him re-adjust his base constantly. ROUND BREAKDOWN -Take the early rounds while he learns the timing -Take any rounds he gives you while he catches a breather -Look for specific counters to steal rounds by hurting him -Pick 4 rounds to go on an all-out attack and just swarm him with power shots from bell to bell -Force him into a points deficit as early as possible so that he's forced to attack and trade. -Rounds 1-8, aim HARD counterpunches at his body when he opens up. Eat a headshot or two but counter them with body punches. Worst case, you bang up is arms and shoulders and teach him to keep his hands at home. Best case, you hurt his body and wear him down. -Rounds 9-12, feint the body counter but go to the head. 1-3: Floyd is adjusting to the southpaw stance, speed, and unorthodox style. Outfight him and/or cruise to take these rounds like everybody else does. Make sure he feels the power, even if he blocks it. 4: Throw EVERYTHING at him 5-6: Open each round with 30 seconds of good work, then cruise into stalking mode. Look to land a few big counters, but throw less volume while you recover. 7: Throw EVERYTHING at him 8-9: Open each round with 30 seconds of good work, stalk and counter for the rest of the round, end the round with 30 seconds of good work. 10: Throw EVERYTHING at him. 11: Stay on top of him to keep him moving, but only look for counterpunches while you recover. 12: Throw EVERYTHING at him.
