The fact that you associate Marvin Hagler with a caveman goes to show you know nothing about Hagler and his pedigree, much less about boxing.

Hagler is a more skilled boxer than Manny Pacquiao.

Be smart be m0re cerebral in there. Pac has speed and 0k p0wer but like his basketball game, he is n0t very sm00th 0r slick the man is crude as fark but has en0ugh speed and p0wer as the equalizer. But as i always said, it's n0t en0ugh at the atg match up level.Unless he lands a hard K0 sh0t can't see him beating Fl0y.

This is nothing like Lewis Tyson wtf! Tyson was past his prime over 10year before he fought Lewis and Lewis was in his prime. You really are clueless. Let me guess you already have you excuses lined up for Manny losing :rofl

Anyone who watch floyd pack when he fought Corrales will tell you he is way past his prime and would have destroyed Manny back then. If anything it's floyd who is at a disadvantage fighting Manny now. He is nearly 40 and flat footed.

and you show your reading comprehension is inadequate at best.

He;s no caveman but against Hearns he used a caveman strategy - simply go after him and slug it out. i Think Hagler knew that trying to be too smart, trying to outbox Hearns wasn't going to work so he simply resorted to a very simplistic 'caveman' strategy of just overpowering and slugging it out. This is what i meant...

Roach has aluded to a late KO/TKO but that it will be a 'process'.

It will be very difficult to get a KO but a i think what Roach is probably banking on is that Floyd doesn't have the legs he once had. Maybe they will try and tire Floyd out by chasing around until his legs give out and Pacquiao gets to unleash combinations. Standing in the middle of the ring will be a no win strategy so Pacqioao will probably apply pressure, forcing Floyd to run until he gets tired... then maybe Pac can catch him. Obviously, this goes both ways as Pacquiao can also get tired by chasing Floyd for 9-10 rounds and throwing a lot of punches but he's younger and maybe they will work on stamina.

    - Be busy

    - Move in and out

    - Body-head combinations

Castillo and DH gave the blueprint.Only thing is Pac ain't big enough to execute that style. Pac needs to move in and out and outwork Floyd.

Hagler got inside Hearns reach, went to the body and head, and used a scintilating pace.
To use his normal pace would have given Hearns the chance to establish his jab which would not have benefited Hagler.

It will not benefit Pacquiao if he give Mayweather the chance to establish jab distance, which is why I as a trainer would have him working at a high pace output.
For Pacquiao that does'nt mean going at Mayweather and keeping the fight on the inside, because Pacquiao just is'nt a great infighter. But it does mean that Pacquiao would have to zig zag to the sides and keep very busy with his hands.
Busy and throwing that straight left with KO intentions.

To put it in track terms, Pacquiao needs to go about it as if its a sprint run. Mayweather will want to set a slow pace and make it a distance run.

More than anything, the right hook (Manila Ice) upstairs, tons of feints (how prime Morales whupped a prime Floyd in sparring), and move to his right to avoid Floyd's right, jab Floyd's body/chest as it's an easier target than head. Manny is definitely not winning a boxing match, but still needs to fight smart. Using alittle defense, as Maidana showed, went a long ways for Chino. Not many fighters use much defense against Floyd.

I would tell Manny to punch Floyd a lot, with his fists.

Spin to May's left, get that front foot outside his. Straight left down the tailpipe while moving the head to the right (away from May's counter right) while blocking a counter left with the right hand held in front of the jaw.

Snappy Jab while moving to the right followed by a left to the body.

Countering Mayweather's right will be the key. When he throws the lead right he often telegraphs by moving his head up and back, often with his front hand low, like when he got caught at the end of round 3 in Maidana2. We know he especially likes to throw this punch as a counter to a jab, particularly a lazy jab. If you can take this punch away by feinting, drawing and then countering it or moving away from it to neutralize it, then you have a chance. If Pac can move to his right and spin Mayweather, he can give PBF less opportunity to land the right, and create angles to throw combos.

He needs to fight sort of like he did against DLH. Circling instead of going straight in.

Floyd will give pac plenty of opportunities. He fights most southpaws the same way. Pac can check floyds jab to the body with a right hook. The high guard can be split with the lead left. The shoulder roll can be done with an overhand left. Floyd will have to move his feet more than recent fights. He doesn't have the benefit of 3 fights to score a definitive win.

He should definitely avoid calling Oscar. He gave the blueprint to about 5 of his fighters.

expect floyd to hug frequently, duck very low, and plenty of moving around so pac should prepare for cutting him off the ring and unleashing a lot of power punches every engagement.
