Well maybes stop blaming interpromotional fights that can't be made on the fighters.

    Great post.

You're right, it is quality vs quantity.

    Floyd's resume is very similar.

Like Manny, he too has got great names and lots of them. His resume is also very deep. But I'd say that Ray's resume is better.

People have been claiming Pac only had 2-3 fights left since LW, and was considered past his best weight since 130lbs. Which is probably true from purely a physical pov, he was knocking mofos out at 122 and 126 but it became much harder at 135+. His power at 122 was Inoue level, he was never that devastating of a puncher at 147, a big one who can drop guys like Cotto/Mosley but he couldn't just walked them down and overpower them like he did at 122.

Floyd was probably prime physically at 135-140.

They were just that good they were fighting at weight classes where they were undersized for the most part but made it look easy. The equivalent would probably be Spence at LHW today.

Dont you think a guy who fought 3 ATGs at or near their prime and 2 HOF in their prime like Cotto and Hatton has a quality resume too.

Maybe you could clarify what you're trying to say here? With 3 prime ATGs and 2 prime HOFers on a resume I struggle to think what high quality is if that is not it.

You're right. Pacquiao had lethal power at 122 and 126. When people say Pac just had good or decent power they haven't seen in lower weights.

He was straight banging people out at 122 and 126.

Pound for pound hes a bigger puncher than Inoue, GGG, Marquez, Kovalev, Wilder, etc. We are talking legit hardcore bangers. And Pac had more power.

It got to the point at 122 and 126 that if you weren't an ATG he would just 1 punch KO you. Hell he was dropping ATGs with 1 punch over and over again.

    The mans power was absurd.

The knock on pac during his p4p reign was that he never once fought slick fighters and that was damn true.

Of course it's a quality resume. It has a lot of depth. But I was just making the point that like Manny's resume, his best wins simply don't compare to Ray's best wins.

Floyd never beat an ATG whilst they were prime.

    Everybody has different criteria.

    Everybody has different opinions.

There's lots of people who think that Floyd and Manny have a better resume than Ray. But I don't agree. Because although they've got more names, they don't possess the same outstanding wins.

Floyd's best win was a close win over a faded Oscar.
