What a ****ing ******. Many boxing experts consider Manny Pacquiao to be the greatest active boxer today. Yes, over hopkins, dela Hoya and your boyfriend Mayweather. Your arguments are full of holes and WTF you base your opinion on Mayweather's words??? Dude, if you want credibility you've got to have supporting evidence and be impartial. At the moment, you are a joke and your type is what gives Mayweather fans a bad name. Pacquiao has come up almost 40% in weight (106 to 147) to dominate several of the best in the welter-weight division. This is equivalent to Mayweather dominating the 175lb division (40% on top of 130lbs). You fail to acknowledge this. Whether you like it or not at the moment many experts consider Pacquaio greater than Mayweather. If Pac is so over-rated he is still better than your boyfriend.
Chavez jr. isn't even in Top 100 fighter in this era. He's also undefeated. Calzaghe retired undefeated, many thought when he was still active - his ATG rank will be atleast top 100 when he retire. Retirement came, assessment of critics says otherwise. On the other hand, Sugar Ray Robinson lost 18 fights with 6 draws, Ali lost 5 and Leonard lost 3 times. Duran, Willie Pep and Arguello has heaps of losses, more than three during their prime. Armstrong lost his first three fights, he lost his first professional by knock out. All the names i mentioned in the above paragraph are to me higher than Pacquiao ATG-wise, tell me about overrating. But not that far, because all those names including Pac are in top 25 ATG list by a lot of sensible people and respected critics. I don't want to go for the kill in this post. But heck, to re-post the excellent post i read in this thread. Pac has a valid excuse loosing his first 2 losses, he comes way over-the-weight limit on both occasion. In many people's eyes his first real loss came at the hands of Erik Morales (and a very competitive fight at that), which is one of the best fighters in this era. Loosing to him is not a mark of shame. If FMJ have Morales in his resume, there's no doubt that it's quite a highlight with bold fonts in it if you know what i mean. In my opinion, having ODLH, Hatton and Judah as resume highlights whilst undefeated or (on Calzaghe's case) Lacy, not prime Hopkins and RJJ doesn't automatically jump a fighter to one of the top ATG. ATG rank in boxing and in many sports is about the quality of the opposition faced and how the athlete respond or perform to the level of competition, winning or loosing has it's bearing of course - but it's not the only yardstick.
I dunno whats funnier, the idiot that started the thread, or the rabid *******s that responded :rofl:rofl:rofl

has beaten the likes of barrera, morales, marquez, de la hoya, hatton, cotto. that being said, Boxed Ears is right... you are indeed a ****head
Pacquiao is overrated by those who think he ranks higher than Duran, but nobody can be serious if they are trying to deny his ATG status. Boggles the mind. He's actually better than Terry Norris.
You guys are delusional to compare pacquiao to Sugar Ray Robingson, Ali, or Leonard!!!! Look at who those guys lost to and who they defeated and Pacquiao is no where near these men. My point is he is a recent success story to many people and he has been in the game since 1995. Yeah i know he won that first title in 1997 or 98 but that doesnt mean ****. He went on to have losses and draws to guys who are not great at all. He was never a great olympic amateur fighter and i feel he has had his greatest achievements after 2005.
Yeah he's overrated the guy is flawed and can be taken advantage of by certain boxers but Team Pac won't let him face them and he's gone his whole career without ever facing them, fighting the same style of boxers over and over again. It will be forever a question mark on his legacy.
