Manny from winning 9 rounds is given only 3, 4 from the judges. In the Meyweather case it's the opposite. But that's also his weakness and i think many people mistakenly aren't counting it in his fight agains the PBC fighter Spence. It's impossible for Pac to win by decision in that fight.Even if he will take 9, 10 rounds from 12.
If the fight is closed or Pac win only 7 to 9 rounds, Spence gets the win. But if the fight is staged in the Philippines and it is closed Pac gets the win.
I think Mayweather is greater than Pac but saying Pac is overrated is just ludicrous. Pac is a legend of boxing and is still very competitive at world level to this day. Some people may rate Pac higher than Mayweather, it's just a matter of opinion but they are both very clearly atgs.
I don't consider him overrated, I only disagree with the 8 divisions champion bs given he won the 154 lb belt vacant against margarito at a catchweight and took on the weak link title holder at lightweight. Other than that he has beaten so many great fighters and if you look at where he started to where he is now its incredible especially what he has done since losing to Floyd. A win over Spence would be huge
Somebody will get ridiculously shamed for not knowing what a lineal title is. LOLOLOL. And just so you know, Pac's lineal titles are personally more impressive to me than his 8 division titles. You really can't put an * when it's a lineal title. I mean, do your homework and understand what it means.
People who discredit the Morales win I'm sure don't know that he came back a fat a$$ boxer years later to school boxers whom they either rate high or at least high enough to be a credible win by Mayweather against. Morales is great and a sure HoF.
The Morales trilogy for me just showed how Manny was able to improve and learn from his mistakes. The loss to Raheem was a surprise for everyone coming off the Pac win for Morales, especially as it was so one sided. But it was a matter of styles, Morales said himself before the fight he chose Raheem because he'd never fought a slick boxer before and wanted to test himself against this style of boxer. Fact is he'd never fought anyone like Raheem before and it showed. Morales was used to being the taller, rangier guy, so smaller opponents usually came to him, against an opponent that moved so much and got so low, it had Morales put too much weight on the front foot and made him over reach, which made his balance poor, Steward said as much in the commentary very early in the fight. It looked like Morales legs had gone but in reality it was the style of Raheem that compromised his balance. I personally don't think Morales was any worse in the 2nd fight that the first fight, it's just Pac had improved his lateral movement the same thing that gave Morales so much trouble with Raheem, that's why 2nd time around it was such a different fight. But people just see him losing to Raheem then assume Morales was suddenly past prime or even shot.
Well Pac is over rated just like any fighter that people expect to considered number 1 without question. As for his weight jumping accomplishment now that Pac did it, it my in deed be replicated if someone from this lower weights were to concentrate on just that. Through out boxing history fighters wanted to be great and you proved that be dominating divisions. Ray Robinson is considered by many as the greatest because he was the greatest welter and top 3 Middle ATG. Willie Pep greatest feather. Duran greatest lightweight. The weight jumping augmented that. With Manny you can't have him in the top five of any divisions so he is great just for his weight jumping. I guess that's the way the new school thinks, I don't.
