Barrera was ABSOLUTE PRIME. What are you talking about? Morales could be said to be past prime when PAC beat him but let me repeat Barrera was absolute prime.

    Barrera had slowed down considerably.

Did you ever watch Barrera pre Naseem hamed?

And by you saying "Morales could be said to be past prime when PAC beat him ", you lose much credibilty in your post.

Great response! Personally I think Pac is a great fighter and fantastic to watch. Certainly get more bang for your buck than you do from Floyd, but I do think the accolades heaped on Pac flatter him slightly. There are weaknesses and I can't help thinking Floyd will put on a bit of a clinic if they ever meet. Then again I could be wrong as it all depends ion how the styles mesh and who is able to make it their king of fight. Floyd for me though.

Matter of fact I can see Cotto stopping Pac and that may help in making Pac v Floyd a reality as Pac would surely have to drop his financial demands.

Just my two penneth on the subject like.

Nallege would like to appeal the case that pac should not be #1p4p coz pac has not fought any black fighter :rofl..

some dumb posters have a sorts of reasoning... some based the division by height , some by color:lol:, I wouldn't be surprised anymore if some haters will say...pac has not beating any polish speaking boxer? korean speaking boxer?!..Ah! I know one more thing...haters will say pac has never beaten somebody based on where the boxer lives..like somebody from central america....from eastern europe:rofl:rofl

Nope, I've just been here too long to know when some moron is trying to re-write history. ;)

Morales "could have possibly be said to be past prime"...that is ridiculous, not only was he past prime he was SHOT!!

That's like saying Whitaker was in his Peak when Trinidad beat him.

Pac's resume is great enough and should be one of the best if not the best in the current decade (2000-09). He had won 6 championships in 6 divisions, one of only two boxers in history (ODLH being the other) to have done such feat and he could had won more had he chosen not to skip the 115 and 118 divisions in moving up the weights. Of course fanatics can over-hype a fighter's achievement as easily as the less objective critics can downgrade it with a bit of false information and simple looking, matter of factly but actually loaded statement just like you did.:-(

Bad thing? It is at least factual, it's better than anybody's opinion.

The old shot legends Barrera and Morales were only 29 when Pac fought them. The shot Barrera, after that defeat at 126 lb went on to win 6 straights and captured a belt at 130 lb in the process. Quite a shot fighter eh?:yep

Yea it's pretty good considering less than 2 years ago he was fighting at super featherweight 130 lbs and now he is being favored over a welterweight titlist miguel cotto.

Pac didn't fight vazquez -larios and ayala at 122 cuz he had a chance to fight a bigger and better marco antonio barrera who was the best featherweight in the universe at the time.

Yea he didn't fight juan diaz or old crow casamayor(who should have lost to santa cruz who got KO by david diaz) or campbell but can you blame him? He had a chance to fight oscar for his biggest payday. He was the underdog in that fight.

Anyways back to the topic. His resume is that damn good.

Ledwaba-he took that fight on a 2 weeks notice
Barrera-just dominated naseem hamed and at the time he was # 3 P4P.
Morales- never been KO until pac fight
Marquez- great fighter # 2 P4P at the time
Diaz- was a test fight to see if he can handle the 135 lbs wt class
Delahoya- money fight and he was a huge underdog
Hattton- Nobody dominated hatton at his best weight 140 lbs.
