Why not fight them first and handle the critics after? Assuming he would win.

Funny, because I predicted that once both are retired ODLH will be remembered longer and will be hailed very high in the ATG list, higher than Pac for sure.

    Pac beat:

ODLH, but without a doubt it will NEVER get that much credit, because one it was DLH's LAST fight after 16 years of pro fighting, and two it will be widely recognized that he was shot.

Mab, Morales and JMM fights will never compare to Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, Hector Camacho wins for DLH.

the Hatton win will never be as good as DLH's wins over Vargas and Mayorga.

    And

    DLH's wins over

    Castillejo
    Gonzalez
    Hernandez
    Ruelas
    Leija
    Gatti
    Molina
    Quartey

all those are better wins than Pac's other Title fights.

DLH will undoubtedly be remembered with a better legacy, and a better contributer to this sport.

Yes it is. Aside from his close victory and draw over Marquez and loss to Erik Morales, he has won his fights against ATGs in dominant fashion the last few years. The pros far, far outweigh the cons of his resume.

There is no denying PAC has a great Resume and I think MOST have it right and is placed in the right perspective when evaluating his ring accomplishments. The DLH was a great win in itself but PAC doesn't get the credit b/c no one can imagine or fathom how PAC was able to not only win but dominate in a fight he had little to no chance in winning during the build up. PAC won and won dominantly and people have a hard time givng him credit. PAC made DLH look that way and yea....that wasn't the BEST DLH ever but still good enough to go 12 competitive rounds a year earlier with Floyd who was then the P4P king.

VERY TRUE! It's an interesting read but hold little validity based purely on how and whom PAC has faught to get to where he is. They did the same thing to Ray Leonard, Robinson, ALI , Jones Jr ect.....PAC is not immune to such outlandish critisiim

Shane has a great reusme, so does hopkins but Floyd....naw. He's a great fighter but his resuem is just very good. PAC has a better resume than Shane and Nard but they are all very close.

Shut up with this ******ed ****, Floyd retired for what ever reasons he felt he needed to maybe he did need a rest from the game that does happen to these guys, I wouldnt expect you to know becuase you havent followed the sport since Pac hit the scene with a win over Barrera and even then the only fighter you know of in boxing is Pac, you know nothing outside of Manny Pacquiao about this sport.....

Now you go on to say Manny is taking care of the welters for Floyd, get ****ing real DLH was weight drained and was at the end of his career if he wasnt why retire? thank you very much..... When your making Oscar Delahoya kind of cash you dont retire when you still have something left.... you retire when you cant give no more.... thats what Oscar did....

Beating Hatton was a impressive win, especially the way that Manny took him out in 2 However I will not over rate it, Pac has not fought someone at these weights smart enough to not stand in front, he has not fought someone that will and knows how to use angles.

    Cotto is his first test....

Manny is a great fighter, but there is alot of truth to his resume its alot of good match making, its not like he is the only fighter to do this alot of fighters do thats how they build their name and draw big PPV numbers when they move to the top......

However what I will say in closing, if you think Manny Pacquiao beat any live version of Oscar De La Hoya, I would suggest when Pac does retire you stop comming here, becuase the forum doesnt need ******s like you....
