A little upset are we? Great performance by the best fighter in boxing. PAC didn't lose anything last night. This fight between 2 NON American fighters will do MAJOR US PPV#'s which says a lot about Manny. There was more action in 1 round of this fight than the last 2 fights of Floyd who had 24 rounds. The only one who lost outside of Marg in this fight was Floyd. Floyd now has got to deal with even more ciritism.....even MORE praise about his nemisis PAC and even more talk about him being a ****ing DUCK. Maybe that might force him to find his balls and step up instead of finding ways out of the fight.

Casual fight fans want to see knock downs and blood. Manny always pays up. I went to a fancy grocery store to stock up on beer on my way to a friends house, all these fancy west side people were standing around stoked on the fight, high-fiving and ****. I'm not used to people talking boxing outside of diehard fans so I turned to look at them like WTF. I haven't seen such interest in a boxer by the general public since Tyson!

 

No way Jose. I was keeping in contact with my Pilipino buddies across town and they got no love lost for the Pacman why would they? They knew Margo was game and before and after the fight they still had respect for Margarito for being a trooper even though he really doesn't deserve it for many other reasons IMO. I ain't even Filipino, but I'll always buy Pacman's fights and many other will. He's the p4p king. Why not have Floyd fight in Dallas see how that goes?

 

It'll be interesting to see the PPV numbers but really this fight was positive for Manny whatever he chooses to do from now on. If he fights again the quality of the match is going to draw a ton of interst even if its not vs Floyd and if he retires the majority of the public are likely to consider him and not Floyd the outstanding boxer of his era.

 

I watched the fight last night at our local Buffalo Wild Wings here in Los Angeles although I could have watched the fight at numerous Filipino family parties that were held everytime Pac fights. I do this to experience a Pac fight outside the Filipino circle and see how Pac appeals to non-Pinoys. There were about 500 people and was standing room on only. My buddy were able to get 2 stools and used a trash can station next to the waitress counter as our table because it was so crowded. The crowd was maybe 50% African American, 40% Latino, 10% White and Asian. It was a pro Pacquiao crowd with a few Mexican die hard Margarito fans. The place was loud as hell with every Pacquiao flurry. I saw maybe 5 black guys wearing Pacquiao shirts. That said it all to me.

TS in is deep denial. He's from Los Angeles too. Maybe he should visit the Nike store in the newly renovated Santa Monica mall. He would see this and probably cry.
