I didn't forget Peterson, Berto, or the recent Gamboa. Those are guys who stepped up to the plate and, well, underestimated the tests. Gamboa didn't take any tests - he was caught via paper trail.

If manny had taken the tests, he'd of ended up like Peteron or Berto. It took him 3 years to agree to simple drug tests. And there's zero justification for that. manny will always be remembered as a decent-good brawler-puncher who beat a few marquee guys late in his career after looking great at 135 and beneath. Then, when he had the chance to really cement his legacy, he refused to take drug tests... for YEARS. Instead he went on fighting shot fighters. Until he ran into a "not completley" shot JMM who beat him and KTFO for his fourth win in as many fights (JMM's fourth win: he won all of them).

The NSAC is exposed quite frequently. Mosley is the most notable example, but not the only one: Peterson (proven) and Berto likely cheated prior to their failed OSDT tests. Any of the guys not taking OSDT, especially those guys who explicitly refuse them, are practically creating their own skepticism and doubt. If manny/roach had taken the tests, at any point, there would be zero skepticism. But they refused the tests for Floyd, for years, and then refused the tests for JMM twice.

 

He was prime Morales 3 onward imo, and he peaked against Hatton / Oscar/ Cotto / Clottey. After that he started fading physically, and it's been a steady decline.
