I don't think pac is more influential than ODLH. Oscar was the only poster boy of boxing since mike tyson IMO. even pac and pbf ain't got nothing on Oscar when it comes to being the face of the sport. It is evident when you see that even the non-boxing fans knows his name (even at this stage of his career).

I agree. Besides, Manny's super stardom has only begun couple of years ago, whilest Oscar was a star for many many many years since his gold medal win in the Olympics. Great avatar by the way!!!

So what happens at the end of the fight? It seems the only influence he has is to stop the armed forces doing violence so they can watch some violence on the tv and when that ends they go back to their violence.

I think when they say influential, they are talking about the whole world.

US population approx 300 million, less than 1% watch Oscar fight . Phillipines population 90 million - 99% watch him fight . Numbers dont lie.

obviously the word "influential" comes with many factors, being popular, charisma, fan base, world titles, fighting style, prolific.. etc.
and i bet you yahoo sports really know their stuff.
