Manny pacquiao refuses Vada testing

The commision isn't going to mandate extra testing any time soon if at all due to cost and not because they feel they have quality testing procedures. And doesn't Peterson and Berto getting caught kind of make you raise an eyebrow?

Given the cirumstances wouldn't Pac doing VADA #1 be a good move to ensure that Bradley isn't looking for an edge in the biggest fight of his career. Especially after Peterson and Berto just got caught. #2 silence majority of the doubters who believe he may be cheating.

VADA 'may' have busted Berto for taking a contaminated product and not intent to cheat. The jury is still out on that. Why risk VADA testing under that cloud? This is really simple ****. Pac said he would take it to fight Floyd because Floyd won't fight otherwise. So, he WILL take it when needed. But to risk VADA at this point? Floyd fans saying the USADA is the gold standard, right? Let Floyd and Pac do YEAR ROUND testing.

 

Yes, the commission already said the problem was financial. They need an overhaul and for someone to figure out how to employ better testing.

As far as VADA, although new, maybe they are good. How good and legit? Not sure. And isn't Conte a part of VADA? And should he be given his past?
I guess as an advisor it would be OK but is he making a profit off of the testing since this is still a business. Anyone have answers?

Athletes should be on board for better testing. It's the athletes that can push for better rules and regulations in the sport. I'm sure at one time nobody checked gloves and some curious trainer said "hey, I want to make sure nothing is in your gloves and I want to be there to see them wrapped and taped"

 

And wait for another year for the fight to happen? My god, I'd literally kill everything if that was the stipulation. It's already 2 years overdue.

 

The point is for athletes to be on board to push for fair competition. Someone like Pac to step up would be huge. The more big sports stars the better.

As far as Year Round...absolutely. Pac should be on board and get Floyd involved. But when is he going to start?

Someone needs to ask Floyd about this as well. Why not do year round testing even though athletes have complained about it because they don't want to be bothered and you have to tell them where you will be at all times. But it can't just be one person doing it. But sometimes that's the Price you have to pay for being in this sport.

And speaking about price, they need to do a little investigating of why it costs so much and how much it would cost for year round testing given the amount it is said to be just for a short period. Luckily they are millionaires but still...let's makes sure it's less about business for these testers than it is about being part of governing sports.

 

Well, starting now shouldn't be a problem for Floyd. They have his address and he should even have the possibility of access. I'm saying, "let both start now".

 

Well considering Top Rank turned it down recently it would NEVER happen on Pacquiao's side. It would look great on him if he did and would make Floyd look like a fool though.

It would be good for Pac to sign up for Year Round Random testing. Not only is that the more proven way but it also shows up Floyd and puts power back in Pac's hands...all while bettering the sport and throwing water on the fire that is the allegations from the Mayweather's.

They just need to figure out the best plan of action starting with who to use.

I just wish Pac would do it. I don't understand why he won't. At least give us reason why he won't instead of just saying it is up to the commission who have been proven inept.

The sport really needs for these fighters to be clean given what has now been pushed for with improved testing...so I would hope all fans would not be rooting against any fighter to show up positive.

Pac and Floyd are arguably the top two most popular fighters. If either would show up dirty or anymore "name" boxers, it would be MLB all over. F-that. I'm for clean sports if that is what the fans and athletes want but I also just want this to end so I can enjoy the entertainment. So here is hoping to something gets done and all are clean.
