A lot of voters were dissapointed with Mayweather’s reluctance to fight Manny Pacquiao in what would have been the highlight of both boxers' careers. Mayweather let pass an opportunity to fight Pacquiao on Nov. 13, with one of his advisors even

had ever taken place despite the fact that promoter Bob Arum and HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg insisted they had. Hence, Pacquiao got 21 first-place votes and Mayweather 15.

Writers are fickle aren't they. People complaining about someone moving up or down because of one bad performance, but how about people moving up and down because of things happening outside the ring. More proof Floyd should have never been #1 but these cocksuckers don't have the balls to recognize that in the first place. So they reluctantly just switch Manny and Floyd as P4P #1 due to things happening outside the ring. Funny, but totally predictable.

Has anyone else ever lost the top P4P spot just by most people coming to the consensus that that particular boxer ducked another?

Never. I could understand if Pac came out looked really good against Margo and they flip flopped, but they flip flopped without either guy fighting.

As said above... so fickle. Pathetic, also.

I know what their reason was, but that's not how rankings are supposed to work. These guys are not at the negotiating table. To drop a guy in the rankings because you believe he's responsible for a fight not taking place at a certain time doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense.

Why did pac lose the # 1 spot in the first place? Last time i check pac has dominated and i mean dominated all his opponent since becoming # 1 P4P.

    Diaz-9 rounds destruction
    Delahoya-8 rounds domination
    Hatton-2 rounds destruction
Cotto-i gave cotto 2 rounds but pac still dominated
    Clottey- 12 rounds total domination

So why would pacquiao even drop in the ranking is beyond me. Pac is # 1 P4P.

Pac got dropped after Mayweather dominated yahoo's number 3 fighter. Now I can definately see the argument for Pac staying at number 1, but there is a competent argument the other way as well. However, there is no competent argument for dropping Mayweather at this point. Now if Pac went out and dominated Margo, they would have a competent argument for putting Pac back at no.1. Your rankings lose credibility when you do stuff like this. I know this won't happen, but what if Mayweather signed to fight Paul Williams tomorrow? Would they flip flop them again?

Mayweather was ranked number 2 when he fought Mosley. You guys seem to be missing the point which is not surprising.

you become number 1 when you defeat number 3? hmm, yeah im missing the point. Not to mention that the current number 1 is also dominating top 10 contenders.
