Kind of amusing how the only way Hoya can land a few punches in a row on Pac is to actually hold him with one glove and hit with the other. He did the same thing with Mayweather, actually, but in that case he was holding him down against the ropes with a forearm and hitting the body with his other hand. In both cases it really didn't do him any good. Ah well.

i think so too. he might of gotten it from Erik Morales. whenever he got hit flush, he'd hit his gloves together or taunt them as if saying " is that all you've got?" many fighters do this. manny loves to fight, he's one of them for sure

to me whenever you get his attention with a shot he waives his hands to play head games acting as if he isn't hurt

In their rematch, JMM landed a body shot that I was 100% sure really hurt Pac. Good thing JMM lacked the killer instinct.

Usually when a fighter reacts to a punch, (e.g. they smile) it means that they FELT the punch or they were hurt to some degree. They say that the human smile evolved from the face of fear (baring teeth, intimidating look).

    Nope.

He's been doing that since he was a 112 lbs fighter.

Pac does do that quite often in fights......and imo it means that the shots he just absorbed got his attention.

......if I were a Pac opponent, whenever Pac did that, I'd take it as a sign to attack, because the man is probably a bit dazed.

Fighters show hurt in different ways, and I think that arms up by Pac is a sign that he's hurt.....if I'm a Pac opponent, I'd attack at that point.

    Not really.

If I was Pacquiao's opponent, and I saw him hit his gloves together, I wont go into attack mode.

I would go into "matador" counterpuncher mode, because when Manny does that, it means he's pissed off, and he's gonna get more aggressive, and you'll probably get to counter him better if you do it well enough.

I wont go and attack him head on.

watch that vid I posted earlier.
