if you're putting me in as one of pac's haters, you're severely wrong. I can assure you many posters can back me up when tehy say that I have a lot of respect for him and still put him as the #2 ww after Floyd. I just can't excuses becuase you got schooled, faking an injury is just the lowest you can go. Imagine if Floyd claimed injury even though he was most likely innjured in that fight like all of his fights? YOu think the world would crucify him or buy his bs?

I wasn't referencing you, but now speaking on it, if you have respect for the guy you don't take every opportunity to trash talk him no matter the thread?

Who cares what the world would say? It's about you as a person. I'd never stoop so low as to call a man who's given so much to the sport a '*****' or speak like that about a man who is quite clearly one of the greatest fighters that've graced the sport.

If Floyd lost I could confidently say I'd never insult him or call him a *****. Everyone is human. They're all braver than us for what they do. Even if Floyd 'runs' he's still putting his ass on the line every time he graces the ring. Same as Pacquiao.

Usually when these kinds of injuries occur, there's evidence to back it up. MRI's are shown, MRI's are released.

Sonny, were his feet injured too because he did not use them cutting off the ring.....was his chin injured too because after tasting a couple of rights from the so called feather fisted May he folded tent....the so called fighter of the decade fought like a ham and egger sparring partner.......May defeats Pac at ANY weight at ANY time in their respective careers....deal with it.

It took Foreman years to accept that Ali beat him. Perhaps he'll come around one day, perhaps he won't. I'd never insult the man tho. He's given me some great entertainment following his career. As has Floyd.

 

Did Foreman use an injury excuse though, did his team tarsh talk as much as team pac? Both team pac and floyd talked a lot of ****, and it wasnt for no promotional reasons, it was as personal as it gets.

 

He complained about the heat, he complained about the ropes, he even claimed he was drugged. He didn't take the loss well for years.

Not refering to you here but - TBH it was mainly the fans that did 90% of the trash talking. It's hard y'know, when you see someone so arrogantly or stupidly commenting, calling Floyd a bum, calling Pacquiao a bum, insulting Floyd's resume, insulting Pacquiao, whatever. It makes you want to do everything to disprove the idiot, and then it just makes an enemy out of the guy they support. It's so illogical, when they're both clearly not bums. Hate the people that spout the ****, don't hate the fighters themselves.

I feel like that's the entirety of it. The fans made the fighters enemies more than the fighters did.

lack of knowledge of the sport make me laugh even harder. no one goes into a fight 100%, everyones got niggling injuries. the important thing to realise is no one watched that fight live and thought "man whats up with pac.. he looks like he may have hurt something, he is certainly fighting that way"

The guy lost and started going into excuse mode right after the fight like a sore loser. There have been MANY fighters in the history of the sport that injured a body part before or during their fight that end up getting surgery after the fight and make no mention of it.

Maravilla Martinez was obviously not in top form against Cotto but in the post fight he was as classy as a champion can be- constantly stating he didn't want to talk about his knee and how he didn't want to discredit Cotto's win. That's a true champion and a true class act there.

I hope Manny just retires or takes on some lower tier guys and makes a few bucks. What he did on May 2nd was laughable and he shouldn't be rewarded with another astronomical payday.

You know the funniest part in this all? Manny is a southpaw fighter and during his early years he almost exclusively fought with 1 arm (left) and was still able to throw an average of 70-80 punches per round. SO even if he really did injure his right shoulder in the fight, it was amazing to see how low his punch output was with just his left hand. I mean he was only a left handed fighter when he took on those mexican greats back in the mid 2000's and was throwing dam near 1000 punches per fight.

The whole thing is a sham and I lost a lot of respect for Manny. Just a sore loser. But he has a tendency to whine like a brat when he loses. This isn't the first instance of him not being able to take a loss like a man.
