Manny Pacquiao so popular that...

personally i'l give my opinion about it:

1. mma is still new, just a few people know about it,
2. mma is considered by many to be more brutal, sadistic and bloodier than
boxing.

 

Floyd is also popular in the Mixed Martial Arts circle.

He's being talked about too in forums much like Pacquiao.

This, even when he fights less times than Pacquiao does.

So imagine Floyd's popularity if he's out of legal trouble and stuff like those. :deal


But hell, props to Pacquiao for letting those MMA guys appreciate just one facet of our sport. I am ok with that.

They are both welterweights...only thing is WWs in MMA are @ 170 lbs.

Right now maybe not but you should of seen how things were 3-4 years ago. MMA fans would just randomly come in preach how MMA is better than boxing and how boxing is dead especially after the DLH/Mayweather fight. Now MMA fans are beginning to see the difference and how boxing is still a very exciting sport.

yep some mma fighters like to execute that punch, "the pacquiao" punch. it's similar to sergio martinez' punch that ko'd paul williams...
