Why should Martinez come down in weight, if he wants a middleweight fight then his opponent can come in up to 160. Pacquiao is free to come in at whatever he wants in this range. Enough with the catch weights.

    Nope.

Last time around, he wanted Martinez to go down to 147 and not drain up to more than 150 on fight night.

Whoever believes he will fight anywhere near 160 dksab!!!!

Ok, that makes it even worse, but honestly I see ODLH fight as nothing more than a $ maker and nothing to do with legacy.
Morales 2 - I remember he had to go down 5 pounds, and had to pay $500,000 for every 1lb he is over 130lbs. That killed Morales and he looked scary on the weigh in. Even then Morales was winning after 6 rounds by a big margin until his legs gave way in the 7th and lost the UD.

Catchweights exist because guys drain themselves to make weights.

If you went back to same day weigh ins, there would be no need for catchweights.

At the very least, call for a rehydration clause.

And for the record, nobody was upset at catchweights until Mayweather said something about it, and then per usual, asked for catchweights himself.

He needs to finally fight Pacquaio.

Then people would respect Pacquaio's accomplishments...

    Maybe.

I could understand if Pac was unwilling to move up one division to fight Martinez but this is 2 divisions north, with Roach already saying Pac is maxed out at 147.
Remember after the Margarito fight Pac said he'd never move above 147 again, the only fair scenario that I can think of is they meet in the middle at 154, Martinez has already said he'd do it.

And there is nothing wrong with catch weight fights imo. It's a compromise by both fighters to level the playing field a bit.
