Crazy I remember watching the PPV when he was the replacement against Lehdwaba, and he beat his ass. I was a fan right away. That MAB thrashing is legendary. Congrats champ - one of the best of all time.

Manny Pacquiao has 3 times the qualifications needed to make it to the IBHOF. Manny was destroying the elite of the seventh weight division he has won titles in. Completely unheard of. He is a true Hall of famer!

Whenever this man fought it was like a holiday in the Philippines. I remember almost every one of the neighbors screaming at the top of their lungs when he landed a combination on Floyd. A true Hall of Famer for sure!

I think the bar has been lowered of late and people forget just how good our recent greats like Manny and Floyd were. You only need to look at the hypothetical prime Pac vs Crawford and prime Floyd vs Crawford polls to see that.

They were sensational, as were some of their opponents. The standard was high

I have no problem saying both operated at a higher level than what's seen today. Of course opinions vary, but if you know what you are looking at? It's easy to tell these 2 p4p greats are better than everyone in this era

Way too many ‘catchweight’ championship fights. Manny is one of the guys who really cheapened the sport with that crap. There’s 18 divisions these days. Pick one and fight at the actual division limit instead of trying to weight drain your opponents. It would be different if there were only 8 or 9 divisions but there’s double that.

Completely true, Peterson being 140 champ and fighting Matthysse at 141 was an absolute disgrace to the sport. That is the worst abuse of catch weight I have ever seen. No reason that they couldn't have fought 1lb lower for the belt.

I was high on Ledwaba, I missed the fight and was shocked to hear that he had been beaten and the rest is history :risas3:. Good to see Pac inducted.

I was in the Philippines for a few of his fights. It was an experience!

    Bravo Pac-Man.

Proud to say I witness history. One of a kind fighter. Super human speed and work rate at his peak. Willingness to Goto battle and fight. Statesman of Phillipines

Pacquiao is the only fighter of my lifetime who had elite power, speed and workrate. At 126 pounds he could really bang.

Freddie Roach said the first time he had Pacquiao on the pads he was instantly blown away. Roach said he had trained fast guys before. And he said he had trained hard hitters before. But he had never trained a fighter with both until Pacquiao.

I've had many a back and forward with extreme Manny fans that hate Floyd, but here's the truth

The man is legit one of the very best to ever do it and if someone with a level head claims he's the goat, I can understand that opinion and fully respect it.

I don't quite have him as the goat, but he belongs in the conversation and has done things we will likely never see again

Special, special fighter is Manny and if he where around now? There would be no debate who is number 1, we would be debating who's number 2

But thankfully Manny fought in an era with more challenges and legendary fighters which enhances his legacy

Pac spent his prime outside of his natural weight class. If you take his technical skills from 2009 and place him at 126 he would be almost unbeatable. He's the best p4p fighter since Duran.
