And here we have Manny Pacquiao and speculation that he should be rated number 1 pound for pound.

How can this be speculation? There is no doubt about it.

Has anyone considered that he has retired the last three fighters he's stepped in the ring with, with a vengeance?

Two of these fighters are considered all time greats, and at one time or another considered by many pound for pound #1 themselves.

Add Erik Morales to this list as well.........another that many consider a great...knocked out twice in three fights....also retired by Pac.

Add to this a dominant knockout win over another all time great in Marco Antonio Barerra.......and a lopsided UD where Barerra fought NOT to be knocked out.

How can there be any doubt who the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the sport is???????

Pacquiao based on his Marquis performances has also cemented Juan Manuel Marquez as one of the greatest fighters on the planet.

I truly feel Marquez was robbed in the second fight with Pac but also feel Pac has shown improvement in his skills since then

This is a trilogy that NEEDS to happen.

Until then, I FEEL, that Pac's p4p number 1 rating should be carved in stone.......no if's and's or buts.

You'd be right! There are VERY FEW on Floyd's skill level with pure boxing....James Toney might be right there with him but othere than that Floyd enjoys a seat all by himself....but PAC is by far a better "FIGHTER".

    Totally biased and unnecessary post!

Pac is and should be #1!

If you "Truly" believe that was a robbery you just made it abundantly clear you either are a casual boxing fan, a biased boxing fan or just plain stupid when it comes to boxing in general. The fight was close! There is no robbery in a close fight. However...PAC did more damage...won more rounds and got a KD in the fight where TWO knock downs were justifiable. PAC won a clear but close decison and that is REALITY......not a robbery. And to say PAC is not the rightful owner of the P4P crown it also re-affirms your lack of boxing insight.

ideally i hope mayweather-marquez draw, and then pac finishes the trilogy by KO'ing marquez, and then KO's mayweather.

Your reading comprehension skills SUCK APE BALLS.
A casual boxing boxing fan????? If you only knew.

Clearly the last line of my original post suggests Pacquiao IS the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world today.
And as stated, this should be carved in stone.

Mayweather on the other hand has been inactive for well over a year and going on two years before his next fight.
He's not even in the running for p4p number 1 at the moment.
