You were talking big before the fight, whilst questioning my reasoning for picking Pacquiao. I will find the old posts to refresh your memory. Never once did you humbly suggest that you ''think'' Broner will win, you were in fact certain, even after I carefully explained why he'd lose.

That was a nasty little gash on jacks forehead. Bleeding a lot. The ref looked like a butcher with claret up to both elbows from breaking the holds. Browne was actually wiping jacks blood iffvof hus own face on the refs shirt at times.

Same. I’ve never called any boxer a bum mate, but he deserves it. He was trying to convince himself when shouting that stuff about winning. If he wasn’t such a putrid excuse of a human I wouldn’t relish his failure so much but I don’t care, I’m delighted.


He was scared of Pacquiao’s hand speed (which surprised me how sharp it still was) from the off, who wouldn’t be? But he never once went for it. Pacquiao was reaching in with his left hand, sometimes even jumping in his desperation to make a fight of it. Broner still wouldnt throw his counter right, or as Paulie was saying the uppercut, which I was happy about because there was a little chance of a Marquez style ko.

I’m also over the moon for Manny, I think some are forgetting he just put in a very good performance and was unlucky a couple of times with the timing of his big shots on Broner. He would have looked better than he did had Broner been willing to engage every now and then but instead he has to chase a con artist around the ring most of the fight which, made him look a bit sloppy.

Of course we get predictions wrong, I just remember us having a big debate about the reasons why you thought Broner would win and if I remember correctly you were telling me not to make age an excuse for when Manny loses.

I got this one spot on, for a change. Broner just isn't a good welterweight and Pacman's activity will continue to be a handful for anyone outside the top guys.

 

I had 50 quid on Browne to win so I'm quite happpy with the night. Broner embarrassing.

 

I honestly believed Father Time had caught up with him in the Horn fight and with Matthysse being long past his best, that simply papered over his decline. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Whilst he is long past his best, he’s still a formidable opponent. His hands are still lightning fast, he can still use those angles and fast feet, he really worked Broner’s body well too. I’m not interested in watching Broner anymore unless he actually pulls his finger out and gets himself down to 140 or lighter. Quality fighter but awful attitude.

 

Glad PAC won as I don't like Broner but fair play to him he has a decent chin! Imagine what would of happened if that was Khan in the 7th round!

Yeah for real i will never back Broner again. I really was hoping he would give it his all last night and put it on Pacquiao...i said before the fight if he cant beat Pac then its done for him...i mean the fight wasnt even close. Broner was cheering and happy after the fight simply because he survived 12 rounds with someone levels above him.

Seriously Broner talks such a good talk..he really gets under peoples skin but he just doesnt walk it like he talks it. Such a shame because if he dropped this act of his and took the sport 100% serious then he could of been a real threat to the division.
