Doesn't always work like that. Holy did better in the Lennox rematch, was he more prime 8 months later? :conf Maybe he was just more ready for what he was up against :nod
Yeah i agree with this... Barerra wasnt himself in the first fight, was it his fault?? No, but we cant deny all the distractions he was dealing with leading upto the first fight...well at least i cant...
Prime, undefeated, knockout artist who was favored to beat Floyd and got utterly distroyed...no one predicted that... Mab already lost multiple times, that was nothing new seeing him lose again:deal
Floyd was favored at -120 or -130 depending on the bookie :nod What % would you say Chico was at? :think
He was at 100% man.... he couldnt deal with that quickness.. If floyd beat Mab would that be a great win for floyd?
You said you had to acknowledge his distractions. That right there makes him below 100% if they do the same for MAB. So what % was Chico? If Floyd had been a 126 lb fighter and had beaten MAB in 2003 it would have been his greatest win IMO. I consider that win to be the greatest on either man's resume and that is my honest opinion as a non-fan of either fighter.
Well the difference imo between chico and Mab comes down to amount of pro fights and punishment they took in their fights...chico was alot fresher then mab in those respective fights, i cant stress that enough and that plate in his head stuff messed with him bad, that was clear as day.. But if youre refering to chicos legal problems going into that fight, then i have to say this.... If fernando vargas can deal with assault and battery charges floating around his head and pull off his greatest win in his fight with quartey, why couldnt chico??? The answer is floyd was just too damn quick for him... Mayweather had those problems with cotto, and floyd still won that fight pretty easily...js man
Another thing i want to add to that post is another example of fighters dealing with distractions.. Holyfield had that thing about his heart being no good or whatever against tyson, and holyfield whooped him. But holyfield only had 30 something fights at that time... imagine had he been entering that fight with 60+ fights under his belt??? Tyson would have demolished holfield man..
Sanchez> Void. He will not run he will not hug and boxing wins. But Sanchez by tk0 Pac can't handle skilled Mexican warriors.
Unquestionably. But when you have perhaps the hardest puncher in the divisions history in Lopez hitting Sal flush and him not even blinking, we are talking pure steel here. Only feather in the past 40 years I can think of with a comparable chin is Juan Laporte.
