Mundine is as a big name in PNG as Danny Santiago is in the States.

 

Is Santiago big in the US? I am being sincere, honestly I don't know . I just know there is quite a heavy aussie influence in PNG plus he played rugby league etc. Reckon a lot of his fights would have been beamed into PNG and televised live on tv there. I know when I lived in the philippines, you could pick up a tv signal from PNG to watch live test cricket from Australia.

The Danny Santiago reference is paraphrasing Danny Green who tried portray Santiago has some household name in the States to hype up his fight with him.
Of course it was a ridiculous notion to the initiated but Green has a history of pulling the wool over the eyes of the casual boxing fan.
