High risk low reward fight. MAB seemed to have high confidence in Valero's skills (former sparring partner), Valero also apparently beat Morales in sparring and this guy has serious power. I know sparring dont count but surely it shows boxing ability. And with his KO power, there's always gonna be that big risk of getting caught. Pac could be winning every round and my heart would still be racing for him, cos he could really get KO'd anytime. Id favour Pac heavily but would be nervous as hell watching the fight.

For anyone complaining about this fight, that has gotta be a joke. This was one of the most demanded fights at 130lb outside JMM & Guzman. Valero a fresh young up and comer with serious power and alot of hype. This is a damm dangerous fight for Pac and even if Pac wins a war in this one, this will "age" him and I dont want him to age. Dont forget Pac is now approaching 30, he beat MAB at 29 and fought Morales at 29 the first time. He doesnt look anywhere near being past prime yet but he hasnt been taking beatings lately.

Stop complaining and saying this fight shouldn't happen people!

If Calzaghe can fight Manfredo; Wlad can fight Eliseo; Pavlik can fight Locket or Hatton can fight Carlos Maussa, why can't Pac fight Valero?

You don't expect Pacquaio to take on Casa now then, Campbell, then Hatton, then Cotto, then Pbf do you?

    :yep :-(

For the nay sayers . . . just consider the Pac/Valero fight as Pac's easy fight before the big one . . . if it happens.

:rofl  :rofl  :rofl  :rofl

i think the fight would already have happened or been in the pipeworks if valero had been able to fight in the US, as this would increase his marketability and also generate interest from the common boxing fan.

however, roach would tear him apart in training and manny would b victorious via late round ko

Very true High risk low reward . . . but bottom line . . . if team Pac and Arum takes it . . . I won't be complaining. Why should I?

I don't want Pacquaio to follow PBF's footsteps of picking safe fights only. Got to take risks. :D

My heart was pumpin' last night and I was real nervous when the Pacquiao/Diaz fight started, but once the fight progressed some, I wasn't nervous at all as Pacquiao was looking so good, but my heart was still pumpin' from sheer excitement..

I wouldn't mind a fight between Pacquiao vs Valero at all, but I think he can beat Valero a lot easier than you think..

:D Exactly same opinion here. It's gonna be eassier than the Diaz Fight . . . IN FACT I believe it's gonna a shorter fight.

Pacquiao KOs Valero in 6 rounds, nice action-packed fight, expecting to see Pacquiao slightly hurt early as well.

It's the best possible fight for November since everyone else is booked so why not... I don't have a problem with this fight. Pacquiao by KO.

After seeing Pac performed at 135 . . . i can now say it real possible . . . . but I would rather see Pac fight one of the belt holders first.

The Hatton fight doesn't have to happen immediately. Early or middle 2009 would be good. As long as Pac fights a unification first.

I don't mind a fight with Hatton either, but I'd much rather see Pacquiao unify the 135lb division before signing a fight with Hatton..
