Good assessment, but he still didn't lose a round against Margarito. I see what you're getting at, but Tito isn't a tough, gritty, volume punching, stalker. Completely different styles. Strength may be a common denominator between the two fighters, but strength is effective to certain fighters based on how you use it.

Trinidad really didn't expect De la hoya to try and box Tito instead of a brawl that everybody thought it would be. But any way even though Oscar was doing very well, he still had a swollen cheek bone badly. Pacquiao is much smaller in which advantage still goes to a prime Trinidad.

Good points for both. But more often than not i think Pacs speed and movement is too much for Tito, he even has the power to hurt him andget his respect, but if Manny goes for the ko that might spell trouble for him, Manny would have to fight a disciplined fight, if he does that he should win a UD with a couple scary moments here and there.... Im about 60/40 on this though. I could see Tito getting him mid to late rounds too..

You talk like Manny will be like Hopkins vs Trinidad . Manny has the speed advantage but he's no where near in Hopkins slick level. Just 1 big left hook by a prime Trinidad and Pacquiao would have been seeing stars.

Fair points...and "common denominator" was the phrase I was looking for. :good The more I think about it, the less obvious the answer seems to be.

However, in the spirit of banter, Tito always struck me as a moving forward fighter, I put him in much more as a stalker than anything else. I mean, he obviously isn't the kind of volume puncher that Pac is, but he still was just so darn efficient with his combinations.

I agree with you from the standpoint of Tito not being a gritty fighter that takes two to land one like Margaritto. But I would think if Pac tried to throw the kind of punch output against he did against Margarito, and still managing to get clipped a few times in the process, that he'd really take some shots against Tito.

I still think Tito take out Pac, but it would be a tough fight with both fighters winding up on the canvas at least twice. I'd like to change my answer to Tito via KO 10.

    latino's can't beat manny

(don't bring up eric cuz eric lost twice-and don't say he's shot cuz no "shot" person would be able to live against el chino-, but also the thread is saying at 147)

I dont know i can see your point.... THats why i made this thread.. I like to put even matchups together(ones that im not sure of).. I dont put mismatches up because i have an agenda like a lot of other posters here.. Manny isnt as slick as B-Hop but hes much faster.. The old Manny use to get wild and get caught a little too much, that version gets :dead Laid out by Tito.. But quick fighters like Oba Carr,Anthony Stephens,David Reid gave Tito trouble at times and dropped him.. Manny is much smaller, but hes better and his offense more unpredictable(in a good way) than those guys, he also has a better chin than Carr or Stephens... Dont know if Tito could eventually walk him down the way he did those guys, Manny moves around too much and has the stamina to do it for 12 rounds +...

I wont bring up Oscar cause hes rangier and closer to Tito size..But he did show Speed along with great boxing skills, and give Tito headaches and definitely deserved the decision.... Besides although i agree that Tito has the power to take Manny, and Manny has never been hit like that. I also think Manny has showed a good chin since moving up.. There is a good possibility Manny survives and shakes off some shots by Tito... He wouldnt be able to take Titos shots for too long, but Manny isnt exactly gonna stay in front of him.

Wait, wait hold up right there Main.... I might be leaning towards Pac here, but there are several latinos id pick over Pac in fantasy HTH matches. Some of them are Sanchez(fw),Duran(any weight), Chavez(jl,lw at JW pickem), Prime ODLH (any weight except Jl he was still green)... Arguello(Fw and JL,Not sure on,Lw:think).... Probably Napoles(WW).. Besides a fading Morales pulled the trick, and Marquez arguably did it twice. Oh yeah and probably Benitez(at WW,JM Pac takes a young Benitez at JW).

Not even a fair fight. Pacquiao footwork way to fast for him. Felix was slow on his feet. Pacquiao will turn him around like he did vs Marg.

Pac will KO Felix or clear DE for pac.

    Very easy win for pac

Not true Vargas hurt him thats why Tito resorted to a nut shot cause he was in trouble... Yori Boy hurt him too he just didnt have the skills to follow up... I think Stephens hurt him too(id have to see that kd again though). TIto was hurt other times to he just had good recuperative powers.

Pac can get a decision on consistent activity from all angles, but I would not be surprised if he hit the canvas on the way there.

Camacho was supposed to have good "footwork " and fast hands and was made to look mediocre by the young Trinidad.
