Don't be so butthurt and feel the need to defend Floyd every damn time I or anybody else posts about a potential loss for him. I've never insulted Floyd; just stressed the fact that lead foot position against a fleet-footed southpaw is necessary to take away their punching angle. That's a fundamental of boxing that will be a factor should they fight. And before you talk nonsense about the Morales fight, go read the translation I did of an interview where he states that lead foot positioning was essential, and that many fighters today do it incorrectly from too far out. Then, do my a favor and pretend I don't exist, and try watching/studying/discussing boxing outside of Floyd ****ing Mayweather Jr.

Obviously. I never said something so absurd as the notion I could fight as well as Floyd, just pointing out flaws I think could be a liability. Or should we shut down the whole forum because posters can't ever give relevant points concerning match-ups because we're not world class fighters?

Floyd imo would be the 3:2 favorite at both weights

Pac was rehydrating to WW levels at 130-135

Floyd, up until the Chavez fight was never even rehydrating above 135 for his 130 fights. Pac would have been much heavier in the ring.

Now that I think about it that way, that changes quite a few things, especially considering Pac's power and speed retention

Mayweather at 130 in his prime was ridiculously fast and had 1 punch KO power, and was pretty big for the weight. Pacquiao at 130 on the other hand, was a one handed fighter who got schooled by Morales and beat by Marquez.

Mayweather would stop him somewhere between the 5th and the 8th.

Manny was even faster at these weights. Pacman by KO at both weights. Floyd protected and he no fight good fighters at any weight.

Floyd was very accurately sharp at those two weight divisions, whilst Manny was explosively dynamic as usually, but still very relentlessly wild back then. I think Floyd would've picked him apart since Manny wasn't that fundamentally improved then compared to how he is now.

Pac will have a real chance only at 140 and 147.

He was too reckless at 130/135, although that worked out for him.

Floyd's best was at 130/135. Pac's career would end at the time he met Floyd at that weight. Floyd is just too fast, powerful, and mobile at that weight and age.
