Fmj was on his own level throughout their eras. Entertaining fights do elevate fighter's and sports teams in to the general public and especially casual fans.

Deep down every real boxing fan knows for sure fact that fmj was always levels above his comp.
The truth is fmj beat tougher comp is easier fashion than everyone else during his Era.

the way floyd beat his competition is does not ensure him as the best of the era- amateur style out pointing with lots of hugs, running, elbows, ducking very low, with of the time biased ref and judging. he is not even assured with those advantages that he demands softer gloves so he does not get hurt and lessen the chance of him getting ko'ed. he does not want to get hurt so he mastered his defense. is not willing to trade and go for the kill to get a ko to really establish his dominance..........

Manny's resume: Great win over Barrera, weight drained ODLH and Cotto, I don't think that he ever beat Marquez (I have them all robberies, though they were very close they were not toss-ups), drug-addict depressed Hatton post-Mayweather, Mosley who was more shot than when Mayweather beat him, Ledwaba, Morales twice though I'm not sure of his condition in those fights, B-level Clottey (not exactly bad but slightly above "meh")
Mayweather's: Corrales, Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Castillo, his win over ODLH was miles better than Pacquiao's, undefeated Ricky Hatton, even though Marquez was fat he was not impaired yet Mayweather hurt, outclassed, and proved that not only was he the better fighter, the gap in the skill level was too great, his win over Mosley was better than Pacquiao's, his win over Cotto was actually better because Cotto WASN'T DRAINED, Canelo, and PACQUIAO
