That was quite a stupid post to make coming from a innuendo:self proclaimed "brilliant analyst " who makes threads about zombie infiltrations at the lounge would make eh?
You guys (Pac fans) need to learn that not everyone is out to get Pac. He is a tremendously respectable boxer and I give credit to him whenever it is due. Just now I am catching **** (although on another forum) from some Valero fans who think Valero beats Pac and is an elite boxer. Needless to say I disagree..
I actually think Amterdam is correct. I don't know about Guzman due to Guzman getting cocking and catching a bad one from Pac, but Pac is wide with his punches, ackward at times, and can't fight going backwards. Camacho would take advantage of all this. I wish I could get my hands on some of his fights at 130. Limon was older, but I believe he was the champ. The Solis fight I remember at 130 and Camacho looked like he was on the other side of the ring when he threw an uppercut and caught Solis. Hamed reminded me a little of Camacho's uppercuts. I actually like Pac and so I am not a Pac hater. I am hoping he beats Diaz.
Damn, Pac has 28 votes already. There must be a huge "vote for Pac" drive going on at Pacland right now!
I have also tried Youtube to no avail for Camacho vs Rosario. Such a big fight and no one seems to have it. I just remember saying back then that you can't win a fight by hurting someone in one or two rounds when the other fighter is beating you consistantly on points. That always started arguments with fans saying that Rosario got robbed. Nonsense, but I would love to watch the fight over and over again. I do have the Camacho vs Paz and I believe I have all three fastest fighters from HBO: Camacho vs Baltizar, Whitaker, and Taylor's first fight back from losing to Chavez. I don't know how to upload.
Rafael Limon is a journeyman acb. And thats Camacho's best win at 130. It's easy to look good against limited opponents. Camacho faster than Guzman? Too much overrating on here. You did not answer my question, who hit harder and who fought better competetion at 130? Then I'll answer your question.
Ok I will be honest with you. I don't believe you have seen the fight, thats why I am asking the question. If you had, you wouldn't have mispoken like you did in your previous post. Guzman is in no way faster than Camacho.
Totally agree, Pac is nothing more than a 'fill in' p4p #1, not a cemented one. He's overrated, wait until he fights a really slick counter puncher like Guzman an e loses almot all rounds.
Limon was not considered a journeyman when he fought Camacho in 1983. Camacho tko'ed him in 5. Five years later Chavez took him out in 7. Limon started blooming as a fighter in 1979 in fights with Chacon who would not face Camacho by the way, Arguello, Boza-Edwards who Camacho beat at 135. and I believe Limon fought Chacon several times. Why Camacho jumped to 135? Maybe weight problems or maybe more compettion at 135? You are right, his best win at 130 was Limon and then Solis. After that he jumped to 135. Camacho had power due to speed, but what is interesting is that he is a right handed like his son.
At 130 Hector Camacho destroys Pac. Pac is a great (good) fighter but he is not a great boxer. Pac couldn't even deal with JMM who is not better than Camacho....at least in my view.... I would say that Camacho would take Pac to School.
