Guzman might just try to trade shots with Pacquiao, but once he feels Pac's power, he'll be on his bicycle potshotting..

 

Pac by KO 11. Guzman wil be slower and less stamina at 135 lbs.

 

In his two biggest fights, he had two intangibles working for him. Against Barrios, he's fighting a weight drained fighter. And against Soto, he's up against someone who he can beat by speed alone.


How about Pac, who will not be weight drained, and speed is on par with him and can hit with authority on every shot.

its a fantasy pick, guzman hasn't fought at 135, he may be an iron jawed fighter but thats because of his defense. Fighters with iron jaw can get KOed once they step up in weight. Pac didn't KO jmm but he did KD him. This is a what if type of fight, JMM has good natural recovery and i have yet to see guzman against an A level elite fighter like pacquiao. You do admit he's an A level elite fighter though i remembered one of your post back then

 

The antidote to reflexes has always been speed. I dont think Guzman's defense is particularly amazing. When PBF faced someone with equal speed in Zab Judah, he had to alter his style a bit, hands up and used his superior defense. Guzman from the fights Ive seen only ever rely on reflexes alone to get away from punches, he wont get away from Pac's. I think both JMM & Pac would beat Guzman but Guz beats the rest at this point. JMM has near equal speed but alot better fundamentals.
