Manny Pacquiao vs Lucas Matthysse apparently set

Ah, the one that got away. Really wanted to see Manny splatter fragments of Amir's skull to every corner of the Emirates like a bunch of Dragon Balls after Shenlong grants a wish.

 

Pacquiao took to many punchers in the horn fight and lucas has that fight ending power not a good fight for him imo

 

I mean, that is one angle from which to look at it, but uh...did you SEE the Kiram fight?

Needless to say I am way more of a Matthysse fan but this is a TERRIFIC move by Pacquiao. The perfect opponent for him right now. More credible (and creditable) than Alvarado, dangerous enough that he'll receive plaudits just for stepping in the ring after being perceived as shot at this point, and stylistically tailor-made for him to potentially turn in a dominant performance with the mob exulting "HE'S BACK!" - setting up a return to PPV later this year or early next.

 

lucas was trash and just can't seem to cut a ring off and never will now but it only takes one but your right the way he telegraphed his punches against kiram pac should be able to stay away from them

 

Pacquiao really wants to get KTFO again. He should just retire already.

 

Danny would knock PAC out.

LOL!!! I think you're seriously overstating Manny's intentions. The guy clearly loves his day job, but a part of him misses the ring and the pay is good, so he'll grab as much as he can as his schedule allows. I don't think there's a master plan in place.

 

You don't think he'd rather be one fight away from headlining a PPV again than getting buried on a Horn vs. Crawford undercard in a 10-rounder vs. a washed up drug addict?
