Wish Pac would just call it quits already. He just got inducted to the IBHOF but as soon as that happened he announces another fight right away.

I hope this match doesn't happen, Manny was a great champion, one of the best ever but this year he will be 47 and there is a time for everything, his as a boxer is over. In his last match against Ugas in 2021 we saw that Father Time had given his judgment.

I guess the most salient question is, regardless of finances, what is the risk/reward on this fight?

if he manages to win and become WBC champion for example, what does that do for his legacy? I’m sure a loss wouldn’t significantly damage it, as boxing history is littered with greats losing fights they shouldn’t after years of inactivity - but what would a win do for him? He’d be setting a(nother) record unlikely to be broken, but does it really change his greatness calculus?
