Oh, yes, definetly. I could see that fight happening, no doubt, but at the same time, with the way people's minds are so easily changed after seeing one fight, I really wouldn't be surprised if it's a possible opponent for Manny Pacquiao. I don't see Manny fighting guys like Paul Williams. The reach on that man is at least 10" bigger than Margarito's and is taller. Terrible fight for Manny in my opinion.
Well if that cant get made. -JMM at 140. -Winner of Bradley-Alexander -Berto -PW -Martinez -Khan -Maidana -Bobby Pacquiao -Katsidis
So, if Katsidis beats JMM, who is at the top of your list, then he automatically becomes a viable opponent for Manny to face. You're clearly a fan of Marquez, and dislike what I have to say about him, but you've got to look into it. If Katsidis is a hungry and as turned on as I know he'll be, Marquez is in for a long night.
It doesnt matter even if he did beat JMM. It is just a terrible match up in which Katsidis will be layed out within 2 rounds. He is way too open and his chin is not that great so a precision power puncher like Pac would finish him quick. Why wait for 3 months of build up for a fight we know the result of and specially such a short one? Casamayor put Katsidis down multiple times and ended up stopping him. Do you honestly think Pac wouldnt do the same but faster? I get it you are a big fan of his and who wouldnt. He is exciting but he is like Arturo Gatti. He was very exciting but he was never going to beat a top notch fighter.
I don't disagree with anything you said, but as I stated above, with the mindset of the Casual Boxing Fans, would you be surprised if this was demanded? I mean, we've seen Pacquiao in with guys like Clottey, who we never expected Pacquiao in with.
Marquez of 2-3 years ago beats Katsidis, its not even a doubt. However now at 37 Marquez has visibly slowed a bit and his stamina doesnt look as good, which makes this a tough fight, i hope JMM pulls it off.
Katsidis??????? There was talk of him being a sparring partner for the Hatton fight. But he wasnt good enough!!!!!!! Katsidis is a slow wide slugger at 135. Manny is beating up men who come into the ring at 170. Come on , this really would be a one minute fight. Nobody would buy into it. Because it doesnt sell.
I don't give him a chance in this fight, I just feel it'll become a viable one. Much more than fights like Shane Mosley.
Katsidis is a slow wide slugger? I disagree. Then you believe a fight with Mosley, a guy who drawed and in many people's eyes, lost against Mora, is a better fight than Katsidis? I think not, personally.
Yes I would be very surprised actually. If Katsidis wins let him take on Guerrero and if he beats him then beat a top 140 pounder. After that maybe the public would demand such a fight. However i really doubt it. Look at the responses on the thread. almost everyone agrees with what im saying.
