Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto (147lbs)

you guys are being stupid. This is miguel cotto. Top 3 welterweight. He has way to many dimensions, he's young, strong and has underrated speed. He is a very clever fighter.

Also I dont think he's chin is an issue especially as he took bombs from margarito and the only reason he was stopped was because he didn't have it in him to carry on.

 

On paper it looks like Manny would win, but Cotto has fast hands and has power. This would be a great fight between a great fighter and a very good fighter but more natural weight fighter. This might be a war. I would not count Cotto out at all. This fight here would kind of work in his favor more than Margarito did. Very even fight in my mind. Pacman would be better suited to fight Hatton. Cotto would be much more difficult I think. Now I say this thinking that Cotto would be the same fighter he was before Margarito.

 

true, but I believe cotto's taken enough punches to prove his chin is soils enough, its not granite but he does have a good chin.

 

Cotto KO's him in the middle rounds. Manny's speed will give him problems early, but I'd favor Cotto by KO

 

I agree....Cotto is no De La Hoya.....he will hurt Manny.

Lets not get all giddy and carried away with Manny's win over
a washed up De La Hoya.

 

Cottos defence is way too good for pac to get any kind of shots in and talk about putting Pac on his bicycle... he would be lucky to make it to round 6.

 

I would have laughed at the idea, but after the dismantling of Oscar, I've changed my mind.

That same Manny would dismantle Cotto as well. Speed kills and Cotto is an easy target.

 

When asked about Margarito-Pacquiao, Freddy Roach answered: "I'm not stupid, I'm smart & that's not a fight Manny will even consider".

I reckon Roach would give a similar answer if asked about Manny boxing Cotto. Cotto is a skilled fighter, not like De La Hoya at this stage of his career. Cotto would outweigh Manny but a lot & have an unbelieveable advantage in strength!

Manny is going down to LWW to face Hatton, which will probably happen in May 2009, hopefully at Wembley because I will do my hardest to be in attendance!

Remember, Morales beat him and after two fights with Marquez only ONE
point separates them.

Manny has no chance against Cotto, Hattan, Mayweather and even Margie.

What Mosley , Paulie and others have said is that they were mostly surprised by Cotto's speed.

Speed kills when your legs are rubber and you have no defense.

You guys are jumping on the bandwagon so quick...please don't

i agree don't think pacman will fight cotto but will fight hatton first then win or lose sometime will fight juan manuel marquez
