Clottey ain't no Paul Williams, son. If you knew what the **** you were talking about you would realize that Paul doesn't react to getting punched by covering up. His gut reaction is to open up and start firing. And he has the chin to get away with it. Pac ain't hard to hit. Clottey just acted like he couldn't do it. Paul is a harder puncher at 147 than Clottey. And he throws an average of about 60 more punches a round. Clottey easily backed up Pac when he threw. He just didn't have the nutz to keep throwing.
I just rewatched Clottey-pacquiao and believe me, there's nobody that'll beat the li'l roid guy, nobody @147 unless there's tests... PW is no exception, if CQ did it once the li'l cheat will do it 10 out of 10 times... random testing is the key!!
Great statement. If Pac ever tests clean in random blood tests, you pretty much said Pac is the greatest ever at 147. Can't go back on that, cuz you can't have it both ways.
I think 147 is too low for Williams, when he fights Pac and loses everyone will say he was weight drained.
I don't see williams as the type of boxer who could use his tremendous height/reach to maintain distance vs pacquiao effectively. Thus, I think he gets absolutely starched.
Paul williams has the reach, height, weight advantage if they ever fight at 147. But the question is, can he match pacquiao's handspeed and footspeed? PWill may give Manny more headaches than Cotto or Clottey, and Manny may not have clean shots in the head againts Pwill (due to Paul's height), but imo manny can still win UD or late stoppage due to sustained body shots.
Totally agree with this. If Paul fights like he did against Winky, he can't lose. But he chooses to fight stupid sometimes, like he did against Martinez. Seems like it would be a pretty obvious flaw for him to correct.
PW....he's got the massive advantage with his length, height, reach and size. Plus he's just as busy if not more than Manny. It's a problem! Now....I'm not counting Manny out. But Paul has the best chance of beating Manny out of any WW.
