Lopez lands a right while moving. Lopez is hooking to the body, just lobbing it in underhand. Pavlik is grabbing and spinning him, trying to shake some breath out of him to get him to stay still. Big right hand by Pavlik after they break up. Lopez circles on the outside and is scraped by a 1-2 while hugging the ropes. Lopez keeps running around Pavlik and takes a stiff jab that snaps his head back. Pavlik keeps digging his way in and they tie up in the corner. Clinch. Lopez tries to lob one of those hooks to the body and Pavlik catches him with a cuffing hook to the top of the head. Lopez is running and clinching. The referee is very liberal with letting them work their way out of clinches and not interfering. Big flurry by Lopez but doesn't land much of it. Right hand by Pavlik at the bell.

Round 3

Pavlik digs in some nice body shots with both hands. Lopez is clinching like crazy. No warnings. Pavlik ambles after him and jabs (not doubling it). Now hooks off the jab. Lopez is pressing the inside of his glove against Pavlik's scalp and pulling him into clinches. Pavlik works the body. Lopez smacks him in the face with a short right while they're tied up against the ropes. Pavlik shoves him off with a forearm and gets to working both hands with straight flurries. Lopez throws a sloppy 1-2 that Pavlik walks right past with his neck cricked.
