This is the third-to-last fight on the non-PPV card.

After we get Rodel Mayol vs. Javier Gallo (8 rounds @ super flyweight) and Jonathan Gonzalez vs. Francisco Rosario (4 rounds @ flyweight) - not sure in what order.

Throughout Prizefighter/Sylvester-Geale/Holyfield-Nielsen I could barely post, and kept having to refresh pages and would have entire replies blanked out (with that "error: the message you have entered is too short. please enter at least one character" bull**** that it throws at you after wiping our your whole post).

No doubt as it gets closer to Pac-Mosley it will get worse again.

ESB might not even be usable. It will be a miracle if I can finish the RBR.

 

Round 1

Hope jabs and takes quick steps around Benavidez. Ouch - big sneaky right by Benavidez. Hope jabs to the body, doing a lot of ducking and weaving on the outside. Hope has a weird stance, his rear right hand floating up by his face but not pinned to it and his front left hand low as he circles. Hope keeps ducking and up-jabbing from the lower position. Benavidez still hasn't followed up with anything serious since that big right hand. Benavidez jabs from long range. Hope ducks to jab to the body and takes a clubbing right across the back of the head. They clinch while Hope is flurrying his way off the ropes. Benavidez jabs at him and just brushes his face. 1-2 to the body from Hope and Benavidez just skirts away. Hope lands a left hook. Hope keeps waving his right hand around looking to pick off Benavidez jabs.

Round 2

Hope is throwing some left hooks looping in from the side and jabbing at Benavidez out of his crouch from outside. Hope is getting a bit too fancy, grinning and playing to the sparse crowd. Benavidez catches him circling with another good right. Again, it's one really solid shot all round for Benavidez. There's a good left hook to the body now. BIG right hand. LEFT HOOK!! Hope is on ***** St. Benavidez lands a left hook to the body and another right to the jaw. Hope is leaning his upper body back at different angles while backing away, intent on surviving.

Benavidez is lucky he hurt Hope in that last minute; he was on his way to being down 2-0.
