    I see a big flaw with Benavidez. he leans wayyy far forward to throw his jab. Then he goes tio the body. the guy will be a sucker for an uppercut

    Hope keeps slapping with his wide left hooks out of his half-crouch while circling left. Benavidez patiently waits for his head to pop up for a jab or chopping right hand opportunity, playing whack-a-mole. Hope ducks right into the wrong place at the wrong time and takes a hard left hook to the body and right hand up top. Benavidez jabs very softly, just using it to keep Hope lined up. MASSIVE right cross makes Hope see stars and gives him a mild case of whiplash. Hope covers up and is smashed against the ropes. Benavidez takes his time, not forcing the finish after Hope seems to not be going anywhere right away. Hope throws a jab and windmills his right hand out quickly with a desperation shot - and misses.

    No hope had his career 1st rd it seems. benavidez took him apart in rd 3. Really nice straight right with some bodywork following it.

    he needs to step inside on those looping right hands and get that inside hook in. You don't need to step out of range of a punch like that just turn your body a little.

    Hope is hanging in there, but isn't finding any effective offense anymore. Benavidez is catching his body-jab attempts on his elbows (now pinned together) and is even slapping away his wide upward hooks from the side. Hope tries to just fall in behind a 1-2 and gets jabbed. Benavidez is winning this round on the strength of just a few jabs. There's a left hook for good measure with about thirty seconds left. Now a big right hand just before the bell, sends Hope crashing backfirst into the ropes.

    Benavidez gets some good leverage on an ambidextrous potpourri of shots to the head and body. Hope takes a lot more than he's even thinking about dishing out until he gets caught on the ropes taking body shots and the referee intervenes.

    I'm not sure about the matchmaking. :yep

    These last two stoppages came at kinda weird times, but the referees just seemed like they were sick of watching totally outclassed opponents (who didn't seem like they were going to be legitimately knocked out anytime soon) take heaps of punishment. :conf I kind of see where they're coming from.
