Manny by KO, he would use his superior power to overwhelm Robinson. Not to mention Pac's ability to fight off the back foot which would create Robinson mad problems.

Pac's superior Jab would play a huge factor in setting Sugar up.

God, what an awful, awful thread.

First, the Henry Armstrong comparison. No Pac is not comparable to Armstrong. He is still leagues behind Henry. The better compasion would be Jimmy McLarnin but even than Pac falls still short up to now. Perhaps this changes in the future.

Second, the matchup. Pac is a small, very small welterweight. Robinson was a big welterweight and the best welterweight ever. Prime SRR was an offensive machine that only very few would stand a chance against and surely no small guy like Pac. Pac wouldn´t even be a contender at ww in the 40s. Robinson would have knocked him out early.

Third, Robinson is not the only one who has a shot at No. 1 p4p. Sam Langford, Harry Greb and Henry Armstrong have arguments that are as good if not better.

    The threadstarter is an idiot.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion. But Sugar Ray Robinson, the majority have him as #1 AllTimeGreat, #1 WelterWeight AllTime...well you can see were I'm going!

Not sure that saying Pac would lose to Sugar Ray Robinson can be considered as hating on Pac.

Superior Jab? I think you've been watching the singer from the band Sugar Ray. I think his name is Mark McGrath. We're talking about Sugar Ray Robinson here. :patsch

i think he was joking. Or at least i hope he was joking. Everyone knows pac has no jab whatsoever. As far as his ability to fight off the back foot.......

The first Pac fan to come in this thread and say he has a legitimate chance to starch that fool, and this place will erupt.

I don;t think anyone's gonna take the bait, though. But you never know.:huh

Pac doesn't stand a realistic chance of toting Sugar Ray leonards jockstrap.

This is equally as ridiculous. As well as Hearns, and as well as 147 Duran.
