Pac's best weight is 140. He's small for a welterweight (147) and now too big to be a lightweight (135).

No surprise that his best knockout ever was with Hatton @140.

I think this current Pac still knocks Loma out @140.

Cos there’s no fights at 140. Pac offered to go to 140 for Loma. Loma team declined.

8000 calories just to keep up this weight. The guy was weighing in 144 for past WW fights, can you think of any other WW that weighed in at that weight?

He weighed 138 for the Hatton fight, and he wasn’t even trying to go light. Shows how easy he would have made 135.

At this point Loma is clearly better P4P than Pacquiao, but Pacman would still win by K.O.

Crawford was down there. A fresher version of Lucas Mattyhsse was down there. Bradley and Khan were down there. Marquez would have met him at 140lbs when he was desperate for rematches. Algieri and Jesse Vargas were down there too. He chose to make all those figths at 147lbs.

Over the past ten years all of those guys were available and there were no promoter/network restrictions stopping those bouts.

Pac went nearly 10 YEARS without a KO at Welterweight! You don't think he fights at his "idea" 140lbs if he wanted to?

He obviously hates cutting weight and once he was a superstar decided he liked eating 5 meals a day. 140lbs is certainly never ever ever going to happen now that he's 40y/o

Yes, please! I love this matchup. I don't want to see Pac take on Spence or Crawford. For reasons obvious. I'd like to see him against Garcia or Lomachenko - Lomachenko fight being the obvious favorite. The weight the fight takes place is obviously going to be an issue, but that can be arranged. This is my dream fight as it is.

The positives far outweigh the negatives for this fight to happen. I feel it's up to Loma for this fight to happen.

Lomachenko would be Pacquiao's EASIEST fight in the last 20 years and I'm not even joking.

Smaller guy that will stand in front of him, throw lots of punches, won't run, and doesn't have the power to throw punishing, heavy counters?

Lomachenko's not taking any of Pac's shots. Pacquiao blows him out, but also wouldn't be shocked if he carries Lomachenko to the final bell.

The big money fights were at welterweight with the division brimming with big names — Oscar, Mayweather, Mosely, Cotto, etc.. historically, welterweight is a glamor division alongside heavyweight.

Gotta give Pac the edge here. I still want to see Loma clean up 135 before messing about 140, and the bit of Pac we saw at 140 showed ATG stuff at the weight, not just in a P4P sense.

But LMFAO at the people thinking Loma can only fight one way and wouldn't adjust to what's in front of him. The guy's ring IQ is out of this world, he's not going to Hatton it.

I believe that this will indeed be Lomachenko's next move after he unifies all four lightweight straps. Similarly, I agree with your analysis of prospective fights at 135 (comfortable Loma UD) and 147 (Pac by UD, possibly stoppage). At 140lbs, however, it would be a fascinating fight indeed, even at Pac's advanced age. I like Lomachenko by decision in a highly competitive and entertaining contest.

Linares and Pedraza touched Loma up without much difficulty. Pac lights him up.

Loma wins. Too bad, the fight is impossible to make now with Pac being with PBC. While everyone is drinking the Thurman win koolaid, I saw some things that Loma would absolutely exploit, and I think it would end up being down right abusive during the second half of the fight. Pac's energy level was energizer bunny for the first few rounds. After that, he turned into a more plodding and flat footed Pac. Loma would put on an absolute clinic if he could make it past the first four or five rounds.

Yes, because Loma's dumb enough to approach Pac the same way and never varies his gameplan to what's in front of him.
