Empty shell??? You sure weren't saying that before the fight posting videos about how Pac was in great shape and having the best camp of his life. I scored the fight 8-4 if you want to call that competitive then so be it.
Pac was in great shape. But he left it in training camp. After the switch in opponents, he brought in new sparring and worked out and trained every day leading up to the weigh in. That's too much for a 42 year old who was already preparing for 6-7 weeks for a southpaw w/ a different style of fighting. Easier to make these adaptations when you're much younger and have less mileage. Pac had cement feet on fight night. He had no coordination of feet or hand. Zero head movement. He was shot. It showed up in the ring.
Easier to make these adaptations when you're much younger and have less mileage like Ugas. Plus Ugas' style is more suitable for a wider range of opponents.
Pac is a shell of his former self. It's time to start fighting guys that are smaller than the welters he's been fighting for a decade.
You say that now. Either way he needs to stop. The guys at 135 and 140 are still pretty big. They are alot faster than Ugas also.
Too be fair Pac didn't look great in the second half of the fight with Thurman he slowed down and took alot of punishment. He's lucky Thurman is known to be soft to the body because that body shot Pac landed on Thurman and hurt him badly changed the course of that fight late or he me have beaten Pac on the cards.
Mark it down, if Manny has a rematch, he will win the fight. I thought Ugas won the fight but it may have been a little closer than some people scored it. Manny is so close to retirement and has motivation to not go out with an L. His legs looked shot and his reaction time seemed noticeably slower than ever but I never count the guy out. At least he’s not shying away from a live opponent or looking for MMA or YouTube opponents as a cash grab. War Manny!
