Championship belts will not be on the line in this fight because of the catch weight of 145 pounds, 2 pounds lower than the 147 welterweight limit. However, even without belts on the line, what is more important is that Cotto and I will fight for the No. 1 pound for pound title which guarantees an active fight, no running, no retreating, no chasing around.

as long as Arum pays for the tab for Cotto, I don't care. Manny, you are a man without principles. You'd be the perfect politician, as long as you have lawyers whispering in your ear. Way to put the fight on hold because now you want a belt when it didn't matter 2 days ago. Oh well, I guess if Cotto doesn't want the title, you'll go back using Shane as leverage, right?
