It's not my call. I certainly agree with you.

But boxing may be the last Olympic sport that allowed professionals. Maybe the majority of athletes who compete in the Summer Olympics, in particular, are professionals one way or another.

Like I said, Jalolov won the gold at super heavyweight last time. He was a pro for two years before the Olympics.

He could probably go back and be a two-time Olympic gold medal winner next year if he was so inclined.

Just looked up the age requirement. Unfortunately a no-go.

They are "looking in to it" ... as they say. Expect an exemption. Some 40 and 50 year olds won medals at the winter Olympics last time out.

Can he fight in the Olympics? I didn't think they allowed pros in boxing.

Doubtful he would pass the drug testing

He used gear his entire career , he will be tempted to juice up again but he won’t pass those tests

They have been able to since 2016.

Of the 286 boxers (men and women) who competed at the last Olympics, 43 of the 286 were pros. Including Jalolov, who won the gold at super heavyweight.

Why doesn’t he just help train the next generation of fighters to win gold?

Man… That’s crazy. :D The amount of experience he’ll have over those guys in the Olympic Games! Plus it’s not really like he would need to worry as much with pacing himself with the amount of rounds they do! Lol!

I mean Wladimir was talking about doing the same thing in Tokyo and people were crapping on his idea.
